Sandisk is one of the most respected names in flash memory. I needed about 64 G; it's USB 3, and it was on sale. No brainer.

I have this same product in the 32 gig size and love it some much I came back to get another. All the 32 gigs were gone, but I spotted a 64 gig and grabbed it. The bright red color makes it easy to see so I'm less likely to lose it. If I drop it, I can pick it right up. I was on a bus when I dropped it and it rolled under another seat. I spotted it immediately against the black floor - which I couldn't have done had it been black itself - and was able to immediately retrieve it. Can't beat that!

I love the USB 3.0 with this stick. Very fast transfer speed and ample room for lots of jpegs and multi-media files.

I am hoping that the flash-drives I buy at Best Buy are not as failure-prone as a floppy disc was or other peripheral devices as I am a frequent user of my flash-drives plugging and unplugging them regularly and I am hoping they don't fall apart as I am anticipating them doing, but I have not had an experience with a flash-drive falling apart yet or failing to work, the problem that occurs is usually in the USB port and not the flash-drive. The manufacturer might print on to the flash-drive what its half-life is, so that having some remaining use after the half-life date has expired will make putting that flash-drive away and buying a new one make it so the flash-drive is not completely broken if the information on it is to be left for posterity.

I didn't get this USB for transferring files at high speeds, but decent speeds better than USB 2.0. I got it as something to store/backup the files on my laptop. It isn't super fast, but it gets the job and I am very happy with.

These are fast, reliable, easy to use and transpot. SanDisk has always been a safe and dependable device for me.
