Great thumb drive really easy to use and lots of storage space for the price

I needed a reasonable USB Flash Drive to save some data for a friend. I like the fact that it retracts into the case instead of having a lose-able cap. At USB 3.0 it copies files quickly. Sandisk is a reliable brand.

I bought this out curiosity... It uploads about the same speed as my WD 2.0 passport... If you're in a hurry or inpatient the 3.0 is a must... If you're cheap and lazy like me the 2.0 is just fine... I gave it 4 stars because it dropped a file... I was transferring some old movie files in a batch... When I transferred them one at a time it all went well...

Great amount of storage although my computer reads 58.8 GB available, not 64 as advertised. Reasonable speed.

This is a great priced flash drive for the size of its memory.

This is typical of flash drives, easy to use, fast, and in this case it holds lots of data (64GB). Since this is used as a backup, I don't use it often, but so far it has worked well. As far as speed, I can't tell much difference between USB 3.0 devices (which this is) and the older USB 2.0 devices, apparently because of the way I use it. This is borne out on other reviewers' tests. They say it depends on the type of usage, and I believe them. One note: The manufacturer warrants these USB 3.0 flash drives for 5 years, whereas they only warrant their USB 2.0 drives for 1 or 2 years. The difference in price was only about $5.00. So for a little more, you get a faster drive, and a much longer warranty. I suspect changing the interface to USB 3.0 is not the only improvement inside. Touching the sides after usage seems to show the 3.0 devices don't get as warm, and that always leads to longer life in electronic equipment. I'm satisfied.

Fast, easy to use, huge storage, great price, well known brand

I've said this before, and I WILL say it many more times AGAIN(!) ... SanDisk "flash" memory devices ARE the BEST FLASH MEMORY DEVICES YOU CAN BUY! I'll probably never buy any other manufacturer's flash drive if a comparable SanDisk product is available, price NOT withstanding! I LOVE: The compact design AND the retractable USB connector! AND, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND attaching a 16 - 20" lanyard to help keep it from getting lost deep in the pockets of your backpack/messenger bag! I MISS: Not having an "access" light to know when it's actually in operation, but this does seem to be a feature that is just going to go away on most flash drives, especially as they get smaller and smaller and smaller. I bought this particular flash drive as a backup and secondary storage device for my ASUS Transformer Book T100TAF, 2-in-1 Tablet with Keyboard Docking Station (1 GB RAM & 32 GB SSD built-in, and a 32 GB Micro SD Slot). ... Unfortunately, Windows 8.1 (and Windows 10 for that matter) WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO MAKE A WINDOWS SYSTEM IMAGE BACKUP TO A FAT-32 FORMATTED FLASH STORAGE DEVICE - ONLY NTSF FORMATTED DEVICES CAN BE USED. ... So I used a 500GB "Winchester"-type portable hard disk drive to accomplish the backup. So now I have more than 58 additional gigabytes of storage for my "2-in-1" tablet! ... That's a WHOLE LOT OF music and photos and videos and documents and spreadsheets and etc., etc., etc. - Now, I'm good to go for years to come with about 90 additional gigabytes of storage (SanDisk Ultra 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive and a 32 GB Micro SD card) for my ASUS 2-in-1 Tablet! I've had a couple of usb 2.0 flash drives that are close to 8 years old. I needed a newer one with more storage space. I also needed one that was fast. The usb 2.0 flash drives i have are slow as molasses, but this usb 3.0 flash drive from is fast as The Flash. Ok, maybe not as fast as him, but it's a big upgrade coming from a 2.0 drive, especially if you're using a usb 3.0 jack. It's also backwards compatible with 2.0 jacks.

SanDisk - is my go to brand especially when on sale. Super easy Windows 10 backup! Set it up in Windows 10 by clicking the in Windows Icon (bottom left), type Settings and run it then > Update and Security > Backup Plug in your drive,, select Add a drive and then select files to back up You can set it up to backup new files every time you plug it in. Very quick with this drive!

I am forever in need of a fast way to share work files between computers, co-workers, and locations. USB 3.0 drives like this one have the speed to make saving and reading files fast enough, the capacity is hefty (lots of graphic and CAD files eat up space quickly!), and it is convenient enough to pop one in the mail or overnight express when the files have to travel.

We have a ton of photos on the computer and our phones, so when it comes time to back them all up, I would easily recommend this item. Especially when it goes on sale, what a great buy. It's tiny, yet can hold so much data, and being a 3.0, files transfer very quickly with compatible devices. I now own three of these because they come in handy.

This product was the perfect size for extra storage of my Nvidia Shield. Worked great got the extra space that I needed. I have no complaints. Has a great fast response time. Nice and compact especially when you need the space around the device. I would recommend this to everyone.

Installed Ubuntu 16.04 on this. Insert it in a USB 3.0 socket on a Windows laptop ( don't forget to change the BIOS settings for boot order ), reboot and I have a very fast Linux machine with enough left over storage space to do useful work. USB 2.0 devices are painfully slow. Shutdown, remove, reboot and Windows 10 is back.

What can I say. Out of the box it worked. I connected it to my computer running Windows 10 and it showed up. Transferred some files, plugged it into my Apple MacBook and it showed up instantly. No formatting needed. Good speed. The big question is, how long will it last.

I downloaded all the seasons of a show that my wife and I had been wanting to watch and placed them on this memory stick. The entire season fit and I still have loads of memory left over. The whole file transferred from my external hard drive to the memory stick in just a few minutes. I stuck it in my blue ray player and started watching our show.
