Worked for a few minutes & got extremely hot

I came several times to return it, but there weren't anymore of these devices ont he shelves and the store was very busy due to the Christmas sales. Plan to return it this week.

Ok drive

Reason for the 2 stars is that when I transfer a file that is over 1GB, the speed slows down. I get great speeds the first 1GB (close to the advertised speed) using a USB 3.0 port but after that, for some reason, the transfer speed slows down tremendously. Tried numerous files from my laptop to the drive and they all produced the same thing. Not sure why that's happening but it works fine as a low profile USB drive.
