Too hard to figure out how to mount it to our new tv. The holes didnt line up with our TV. The instructions said it was very easy. We couldnt figure the 1st step and had to return it. The salesman offered to send someone to our house to mount it for $250, which was more then the mounting bracket. The bracket is very heavy so make sure to find the beams.

This mount is excellent HOWEVER- DO NOT ADD GEEK SQUAD INSTALLATION!!!! It was a nightmare. They were supposed to install 2 of these mounts and flaked on appointments 3 times. We finally gave up on Geek Swuad. They have no idea what is going on with their installers. Zero communication.

I bought this particular wall mount for the tilt feature; however, it DOES NOT tilt. Very disappointed to say the least. It was a waste of money to pay $250 for the wall mount and another $250 for installation.

      Hello,
Thanks for sharing your feedback—sorry to hear this mount didn’t meet your expectations. While this model features full-motion movement including swivel and extension, it does not offer vertical tilt. We understand how that can be disappointing if tilt was a key feature you were looking for.

If you need help selecting a mount with tilt functionality or want to talk through your options, feel free to reach out to us at info@sanus.com or 1-800-359-5520. We’re happy to help.

I’ve installed a lot of TV mounts for friends, and family, so I’ve seen a lot of sub-par models too. I never comment to them on the quality of the mount they selected to not bruise feelings. Internally though I’m thinking you really do get what you pay for with these mounts. They all look very similar to each other, but, in use experience can vary widely. Build quality is especially important for a multi-directional mount because you are trusting a relatively short extension arm to not drop a heavy TV, potentially causing injury. I’ve seen arms of wimpy no-name models sag, especially when fully extended. But once screw holes are drilled in your wall studs, that’s it. Another signature of low-quality mounts I see is stubborn extension arms, requiring the user to simultaneously use muscle and finesse when pulling out from the wall or re-angling. So, when I decided to mount my 42” bedroom TV after having enough with its slightly blocked view thanks to my soundbar’s height, I chose the Sanus Elite Super Slim Full-Motion wall mount, because of the feature-set and because I trust Sanus products. (I’ll just refer to this model as “Sanus” since it’s a mouthful). It’s exceeded my expectations in both build quality and enjoyment. Specifically, what’s thrilled me so much with this model is two of this its “advanced” features: ease of use and its ability to extended 20,” both which are only possible because of its top-notch build materials. First, “FluidMotion,” which sounds gimmicky, but is actually true to its name. I lot of motion mounts I’ve installed feet precarious, especially fully extended. Extending and swiveling my TV feels smooth, stable and effortless. It’s not an exaggeration to say you can almost do it with your pinky fingers. I liken it to a nimble elite gymnast, gracefully moving with ease when desired, but then sticking to its landing and completely locking down. There is no wobbly feeling or going out of plumb. Technically it has a up/down tilt of 10 degrees in either direction and swivel left or right of 58 degrees. You can also roll it left or right 2 degrees to get your TV perfectly level if the wall mount isn’t perfectly installed. I’m no engineer, but my guess is, the mounts stability, even when extended to its max 20”, is at least partially due to its dual arm design. Not many mounts extend this far and its ability to bring the TV even closer to the view area is a huge benefit to me since a 42” TV is the largest my wall will fit thanks to doors. Equally amazing design is its ability to sit flush to the wall - assuming you have a slim TV and it’s plug, and the wall outlet are not in the way. It seems ideal for “picture frame” TVs. Vibrations, like kids running around, do not lead it to creep or bounce. Exactly what you want in a multi-directional TV mount. A built-in cable concealer on the arm to hide cables, however, make sure your cables are long enough to full extend with the mount or you could damage your equipment if the cables pull out. If you are an experienced DIYer with common tools, installation is easy. If you are not experienced it may be less expensive to have a pro or experienced person do it for you. A paper template is included to prevent wall scuffing and most of the install can be done solo. However, two people are needed to lift the TV onto the mount arm. Sanus says it’s a 30-minute install but I took my time because I’m tormented by past drilling mistakes. For me it’s now measure thrice, drill once. Sanus lends a lot of installation support to DIYers too. When you first open the box there is a QR code that takes you to an install video. Even though I’ve installed many mounts, it’s nice to see the specifics of each mount. Sanus also has an invaluable “height finder” calculator on its web site so you can find the perfect mount height for your TV. Math was not my best subject in school so I always appreciate the opportunity to have a cheat sheet. Sanus also has a 7-days support line too, which I found a comfort even though I didn’t need it for this install. Finally, it offers a 10-year warranty. As far as compatibility goes it should fit almost all TVs but check your TV’s manual for its VESA mount pattern to confirm it will fit yours. The Sanus supports VESA patterns from 100x100 to a maximum 600x450. In the mount’s box is a slew of screws in various lengths and sizes so one set is bound to fit your TV – keep the others in case you eventually replace the TV. The mount’s reported max weight is 125lbs, which is pretty beefy, but you’ll want to check your TV’s weight too.

    King of mounts

The Sanus Elite mount is the go to mount that will accomplish everything you need for any angle in your room, be it corner or curved this mount will let you go from a little over 1.5 inches retracted to 20 inches extended. Then you can swivel from left to right, slide the whole TV left or right on the mounted railing, and even up or down. Perfect for those any style room. For instance if your home is set up where you can view your TV from the kitchen, you can change the angles to help you see it better when eating or cooking. (see video) The Sanus includes everything you need to mount the TV to Studs or concrete/block. Many screws are included for your Vesa mount TV (40” to 90”) The instructions are some of the cleanest and best yet for mounts in my opinion. You start by installing the TV mount to the back with the supplied bolts (find your size in the kit) Once that is finished, find your studs then use the template and a level to mark your area for drilling. Start a pilot hole for the mount, use supplied screws and fasten it securely. Have a friend help lift TV and set in the cradle and secure it. It’s that simple and literally takes 20 minutes. The included hardware is top notch. In the past I have twisted off or rounded the cheap screws and bolts that were included with lesser mounts. The frame is very sturdy for both the wall and Tv. Able to hold up to 125 pounds. (DO NOT ATTEMP TO MOUNT WITH DRYWALL ANCHORS) this is a stud mount or Block/concrete mount system. After mounting mine, I was easily able to adjust to any viewing angle I desired in our oversized living room. I tried from about 4 feet away to all the way back (16 feet) and to the side and was able to satisfy my viewing needs. I was really impressed with the ability to laterally move from left to right. That is just icing on the cake. If you run in to issues, they clearly list in the instructions (that are awesome and easy to follow) contact information for a help line or chat if needed. They also have videos to help you install. I’m extremely pleased with this top of the line mount and am now a lifelong customer from here on out. I highly recommend them to friends and family.

Perfect mount for heavy or large TV's

The Sanus Elite Super Slim mount was exactly what I was looking for when it came time to mount my new 75” TV. The first thing I noticed about it was how heavy it was. While that scared me a little since I would be doing the majority of the installation alone, I knew a heavier build usually means a better product. That’s important when you think about the relatively large investment you have in the TV itself and the damage it could cause should the mount fail. Once I got everything unboxed, it became obvious Sanus had done their homework an made the mount in such a way that none of the parts were super heavy or unwieldy. Make sure you don’t throw away the template that you see when you first open the box. It’s very important to a good and easy installation. I would also recommend watching the videos on their website just to be sure you know exactly what to expect. I’ve mounted serval TV’s over the years, but the short videos still gave me a lot more confidence. After getting the appropriate height for the room (use their tools as a guide), it took about a half hour or so to get everything done. A friend helped me lift the TV into place and I was done. It was really quite a pain free experience. I like the fact that the TV sits extremely close to the wall when pushed all the way in (less than 2 inches) so you don’t have to see all the wires in the back. Of course, the clever cable management systems helps hide them too so it’s not as big of a deal. Making adjustments to the viewing angle is smooth and easy. The mount allows an almost infinite measure of adjustments with very little effort, even considering that the TV I have on it weighs over 75 pounds. Everything is fluid and I haven’t found this mount to let the TV get off level, no matter how many times I move it. That a huge plus for me because other mounts I have will sag to one side if you aren’t extremely careful when you move the TV around. This is a very well- engineered and sturdy built mount that I can’t say enough good things about. I would highly recommend it for a heavy TV or one that you need to adjust on a fairly regular basis.

Sanus Elite Super Slim TV Wall Mount Heavy duty wall mount for 40inch to 90inch TV’s that has a maximum wgt capacity of up to 125 pounds. It uses a VESA wall mount of 600mm x 400mm or100mm x 100mm. This thing is a beast weighing in at close to 30lbs.You of course will need help mounting this beast and hooking the TV once mounted. This is accomplished by hooking the top bracket of the mount to the wall mount and then the bottom into place. No whip needed. But it is a gentle beast with heavy duty construction allowing for a profile of only 1.6 inches. The full motion mount allows for a gentle touch to extend, tilt and to swivel the TV after they are mounted and everything is smooth to move like the silent beast it is. And if you are off on how level you mounted this to the studs on your wall and it isn’t quite level – fear not there are adjustment screws with lots of leeway to make sure it is totally level. The manual and videos produced by SANUS are top notch and deals with everything like the tools you will need before you begin. Everything is explained well and there is a quick start diagram on some good card stock. The video is short but gives you everything you need to do visually and clearly. I mounted a 70” TV and the whole thing makes viewing a pleasure where I can adjust things to my needs and desires effortlessly. I have done other TV mounts but none have been as smooth and versatile as this one plus if you want to push it flat it doesn’t take a lot of space.

This is the TV Wall Mount to get!

This was my first TV Wall Mount that I put up. I was a little worried about doing it myself but this makes it easy. It was very easy to do and I did it around 30 minutes. Please don't just put it in the sheetrock. That will not be strong enough to hold the TV and Mount. First you attach the vertical brackets to your TV. Then attach a horizontal bracket to the vertical brackets. Decide on where you want to hang your TV. Find the studs in the wall. They provide a template you can tape to the wall once you mark where your studs are located. Level the template and drill 4 holes. Attach the wall plate to your wall with the bolts. Once they where in I could tell my TV wasn't going anywhere. Then you hang the arm plate by putting the top part of it under the wall plate first and let it slide into the bottom half of the wall plate. You can move the arm left or right before you tighten it so that your TV can be exactly where you want it if the studs are not lined up with where you want it. After everything is tightened you can close the covers to hide all the screws and give it a nicer look. Then you just slide your TV into a slot on the arm and tighten a few more screws. The mount provides room for cable and device management for a clean look. It really can be moved around easy and smoothly. If you wanted it could be mounted in a corner. If you have a glare from outside light you can easily adjust the TV to avoid it and it stays in place. Again, this was the only TV Mount I have done and it was the best purchase I could have made.

This is my second TV wall mount and I have to say the difference in quality is amazing. This is holding my 75 inch TV and it's pretty incredible. The hardest thing about the installation was getting concrete wall anchors from the hardware store. There are great videos on the Sanus site explaining the mount and documenting the installation process. I love that all the hardware is individually packaged and marked so you know which screws to use at each step. I also like how the TV hooks on to the mount. If you need to take it down, it's as simple as flipping a lever and lifting it off. Fit and finish are excellent, including the covers over the hardware. One thing you will want to consider with this mount is your cables. This mount allows the tv to come 20 inches away from the wall so you might need new longer cables to allow for the movement. Regarding the movement, the mount feels secure and the tv moves easily with just one hand. I love being able to adjust the tv angles both up and down and side to side. I recommend the Sanus full-motion mount to anyone looking for a sturdy, high-quality mount.
