If I could give this a zero rating, I would. Won't look lay flat against the wall, tv pops back out and sits crooked. Don't believe the specs when it says it is only 1.6" from the wall. Once it pops out, it's more like 2.5"+. Buy the better one because it moves better. Don't bother with calling Sanus, they don't make replacement parts and will tell you they have never heard of this issue before. They sent me back to Best Buy to swap it out today, new one does the same thing. TV is under the max weight capacity by 30#. I never write bad reviews, but this unit is engineered badly.

Best wall mount so far

The box was pretty heavy so just beware for anyone that is unaware. I really love this wall mount for my bedroom television. I have something similar in the living room but this one is even better. It was a two person set-up (my husband and 13 year old nephew) and they had no issues. My husband scanned the QR code and watched the video and it gave some very helpful tips. He has set-up several mounts in our home but decided to watch the video anyways to make sure he got all the information to make the set-up process easier. Everything came with the television mount that was needed for a set-up except a stud finder. That is a must to make sure you are mounting on a secure part of the wall so you can safely tilt and move your television around. Im pretty sure that goes with saying though. We used our own Phillips screwdriver to make the set-up easier for us, but you can use the tool that comes with the package. The mount also comes with several bolt sizes for attaching the television to the mount to fit several different sized televisions. There are bolts to attach the mount to the wall and bolts to attach the television to the mount. They are all organized well so that it makes the set-up so much easier. Just keep in mind that you will not be using all the bolts so there will be bolts left over.
The only thing we found unclear was the arrows to let you know what is right side-up. They are colored almost the same color as the mount so that was not so clear at first, but once we figured it out, no problems. I would def recommend this. It is slim and is able to sit pretty close to the wall. I love that you can tilt the television downward or pull it out so it sits far away from the wall if needed.

I have always been a fan of Sanus's TV mounts. When you're mounting something to a wall (especially if it's something big, heavy, and expensive like a TV), you want product that you can trust. Fortunately, the BLFS420-B1is one of those.
First of all, this is a very sturdy, mount and it doesn't have a cheap plastic feel. Yet at the same time, it's not overly heavy either. Weight is always a factor because you want something that feels like it can support a large TV (up to 90'' and 125 lbs with this mount), but not so heavy that mounting it alone can be extremely taxing; this happened to me from buying a cheaper mount.
Installation isn't too difficult. I had a professional install it for me, but only because I needed another pair of hands to lift a 65'' Hisense U6k TV otherwise I could have put up the wall mount myself. This is due to the fact that the mount is separated into different pieces. While this sounds like more work, it actually makes it easier for you to put the mount up yourself. I do think the "30 minutes installation" is way too generous (even with the pro I hire it took about an hour) because a lot of the time you want to check to make sure you're drilling in the right spots (having it lined up against a wall stud) and that the mount will be at your desired position. The included wall template and height finder tool on Sanus's website helps out a lot.
Once you have the TV mounted, the "FluidMotion design" actually lives up to its name. The TV can be swiveled and tilted effortlessly without losing level. Yet at the same time, the TV feels very firm in place on the mount with no wobble of any sort even when you pull it out all the way to 20''.
I don't really have anything bad to say about the mount. A little nitpick is that some of the past Sanus mounts can extend a little further at 22''. Then again, an older Sanus mount that I use causes the TV to be unleveled when it swivels. This mount doesn't seem to have that problem.

The Perfect TV Wall Mount!

Perhaps there aren't many folks who would get too excited about a TV wall mount, but after getting the Sanus Elite Super Slim, Full-Motion TV Wall Mount for TVs (40"-90"), I got excited. This TV mount is the real deal. When they say it is a full-motion TV wall mount, they mean it.
When I first got this, I was impressed by how heavy it is. But then I got a bit intimidated because of how heavy it is. But after unpacking it, all my apprehensions disappeared. Sanus designed a TV mount that is extremely well-made, thoughtfully separated into manageable sections, and obviously made to last many years.
As I unpacked the mount, I noticed what I (at first) thought was just a very oversized Quick Start diagram on heavy card stock. This is important information because had I followed my first instinct I would have tossed it out with the box and the rest of the packing contents. This is in fact a mounting template, and without it, you will have a much more difficult time installing the mount.
The instruction manual is a must read. It not only shows you how to mount everything, but also offers links to online videos that show exactly how to install the mount in a matter of minutes, and with little or no frustrations. As I watched the Sanus video, I saw first-hand how to mount it like a pro, and also observed exactly which tools I would need. Its important to be prepared, so make sure you gather up the recommended list of tools mentioned in the instruction manual PRIOR to installation. The last thing you want to do is to have to keep running back and forth trying to find all the tools you need after you've already started installing the mount and discovering you don't have everything you need.
The video I watched (produced by Sanus) showed exactly how to do everything, and I watched it three times to make sure I had a very good understanding of what was needed. Don't worry, the video is only a few short minutes long, so it won't take your whole evening to watch. Now this is where the hard part came in, at least for me...deciding exactly how high I wanted to place the TV mount. Sanus does offer a height-finder app that is super simple to use to find their recommended height. I decided to go along with their recommendations mainly because I didn't want to place it too high and cause a lot of neck strain from having to look up.
I have a 70" TV. I had never mounted it on the wall simply because I already had a 50"+ television mounted, and I couldn't really find the perfect mount. But after researching the Sanus, I knew it was time to go for it. I followed the step-by-step instructions, and had my mount attached to the wall, and the bracket to the back of my TV. All that was left to do was call my friend to come over and help me lift the TV onto the wall mount. And this is where the really cool stuff comes into play. First, all that is required to secure the TV to the mount is to "hook" the top of the bracket onto the top of the mount, and then snapping the bottom into place. But what happens if I would have discovered my level was a bit off and the TV looks crooked? Not to worry (unless it is REALLY off). Sanus thought of everything...there are a couple of adjusting screws that will allow a rather generous amount of adjustment to make sure it is completely level. AND, the mount allows adjustment to the right and left to get it as perfectly centered as possible. You won't find these features on most of the other TV wall mounts on the market!
A little help from my friend, and my TV was mounted and ready to watch...and my TV-viewing experience was taken to an entirely higher level. It went from simply "watching" to "absolutely experiencing!" As I sit in front of the TV, it now feels almost like being in a movie theater. Plus, I can sit anywhere in the room I want. The full-motion mechanisms are outstanding. The TV can swivel up or down, left or right, in or out. I'm serious, TV watching will never be the same at my house.
Typically it is an easy job to find something to complain about when it comes to any product. But I honestly did not encounter one single negative issue. The mount itself is super solid, it offers a full range of motion, and the motion is smooth and liquid, not choppy or chunky. Everything about the Sanus screams "High Quality!" And you can be absolutely sure that I will be recommending the Sanus to all my friends and family!!

Super Slim Full-Motion TV Mount fits TVs 40" - 84", it swivels left to right and tilts downward, basically giving you the most full-motion possible with a TV mount. Install seems to be relatively quick and straightforward. The mount also allows for the TV to extend roughly 13" forward or so, and when pushed in up against there is less than 2" between the TV and you wall- making it one of the sleekest and super slim TV mounts I've ever seen. The mount it self allows you to easily conceal your cables. I found that this mount essentially lets you enjoy a great picture no matter where you watch. The mount itself after a proper installation is sturdy, secure, and looks clean. The maximum TV weight is roughly 125lbs. I found that it truly adds value to one's entertainment area with its sleek and highly functional design. It really looks pleasing to one's eye. Truly easy to use once installed. Many have mentioned that it is best to move the extending arm in the full range of possible motions a few times prior to installing as it will help prevent stiffness in the movement once its installed so it can be moved about freely easily. I found having this done makes it an excellent mount overall and does the job well!

I've tried several different styles of TV mounts and many have left me with doubts and worries because of minor wiggles and jiggles after installation is complete. This TV mount removes those doubts with a very solid feel to it. I've got a couple little ones running around and need that sense of security that a slight bump or random flying toy isn't going to knock the TV down, and that security is exactly what this mount gave me.
Installation can be fairly simple provided you read the instructions thoroughly and making sure have all the right tools before you start. It's not impossible to install this mount alone, but if you plan on mounting a bigger TV I'd definitely recommend having a partner handy.
Once you're all done and mounted, finding the perfect viewing angle is super easy. The solid construction and extremely fluid motion of this mount makes repositioning your TV feel very comfortable, effortless, and worry-free. The very wide range of motion lets allows me to switch the TV from the kid's play area and back to my seating area with extreme ease. I definitely intend on replacing my other TV mounts with this one.

The SANUS Elite Super Slim Full Motion TV Wall mount is very, the construction is solid, except for the plastic covers to conceal some of the screws and holes, the arm can be extended but also collapsed providing a very slim view of the mount. After some struggle, not the TV mount’s fault, but mine due to being a newbie, I was able to attach 40” and 55” TVs and I was impressed on how easy it was to place the TV on the mount and I could easily swivel and tilt the TV for a better view angle. Overall, this is one of those devices that there is almost nothing to complain about:
- Pros: Slim, extendable, easy to mount, sturdy.
- Cons: doesn’t come with all the pieces to mount on a concrete wall.
Note: if you want to install over concrete (well brick/concrete in my case) be advised that you’d need to buy concrete anchors specific to the length of the wall screws.
>> Choosing the right place to install.
A very challenging thing to do was to find the right place for the TV on the wall (or well, the right place for the TV mount for that matter.) I’d never done any TV mount installation as I was used to place TVs on their own stands, but we had decided some time ago that it was time to do it an reclaim some wall space. We have a sort of rec room where we wanted a TV hanging on the wall, so after much debate, and taking into consideration the size of the TVs we were to use in that room (we have in mind different sizes depending on the occasion, if a party, a larger size if for everyday use, just a smaller one.), and after some measurements, I realized that it made sense to place the drilling template at the very center of the top half of the wall, to accommodate smaller and larger TVs. The drilling template is handy but be mindful that you’d still need to use a lever while you are attaching the TV mount, as things shift.
>> Mounting to a concrete wall.
The most common and easy way to install the mount is over studs. However, the area in the rec room where we wanted to place the TV is concrete (to be more “concrete”, it is brick and concrete), and this provided a bit of a challenge to me. I got overwhelmed when contemplating the prospect of drilling through concrete, and also because the TV mount package didn’t include the concrete anchors required for the job. There is a notice in the booklet, that if you are to mount it to the cement/brick wall then you should use concrete anchors Fischer UX10 x 60R, which it is said it is available through customer service. Well, I needed to have it right away so had to resort to the other company to get them.
The anchors need to be placed completely in the cement wall, which was a challenge for me since I have a wall panel and the manual instructed to attach the mount directly over the cement. I’ve seen some videos to install on brick walls, and well, I still think having a wall panel is not an obstacle as long as you place the anchors all in the cement and nothing left on the wall panel.
I might end up moving the SANUS Elite TV mount to a wall with studs at the end, for the time being, let it be over brick/concrete. Time will tell if this setup works, but we are keeping an eye regularly on the mount, and well, we’ve decided to use the smaller 40” TV for these few trial weeks.
>> Larger vs. smaller TVs
I tried the mount on two TV sizes, one 55” and the other 40”. The mount fitted perfectly on the 55” TV, the back of the TV was flat and the TV brackets looked centered and so we got this perfect centered in the top half of the wall effect. Now, on the 40” TV, we didn’t notice that the back of the TV was not flat or curved, but had a thicker area protruding at the bottom of it, and this made it impossible to center the TV as we would have liked, so this was a bummer. The TV still looks great when mounted, but parts of the mount are visible, and the overall setup doesn’t look that nice (well you get used to that anyways.)

The sturdy mount you should be buying

Ever since I installed a single arm mount I purchased online, I knew I wanted to replace it with something more substantial. This Sanus Elite mount is that and I love it. Almost all tv mounts claim to be able to hold a TV up to 65-75” and 100-125 lbs, but what I found is that they do so while allowing the TV to bounce and twist in a precarious ways - like my old mount did.
This Sanus mount is so much better. The construction is noticeably more substantial and the scissor-like dual arm mount never squeaks, bounces or twists. I also have a cutout for ports and outlets behind the tv. This mount nicely surrounds it without conflicting or obstructing.
Installation: Installing was mostly straightforward once you get moving, but I initially found them to be a bit convoluted. The instructions are light on written details and mostly use pictograms in a somewhat dense fashion. That is helped by the installation videos Sanus directs you to (via a QR code) to make it easier to spot how everything comes together. I’d recommend that you review them at least twice to make sure you don’t miss any important details (like the locking screw, or how your placement may affect positioning of the TV.)
Like most mounts, this one provides plenty of adjustments to ensure the tv is placed where you’d like it, with easily accessible fine-tuning tilt and rotation adjustments. It also has a handy template that was sturdy enough to tape on the wall and see how it could be placed around the component box already in my wall.
The mount advertises itself as a very slim-profile design, and in that it succeeds. It’s not much closer than my old mount, but is able to achieve it with a lot more structure, which is impressive. All elements fold into a single plane, making it easy to imagine the space that cables (and an Apple TV) need to avoid.
In summary:
Good Stuff:
- Solid build, hefty mount does not skimp
- Double arm design prevents bounce and flex-rotation
- Positionable arm location along wall track is nice for better horizontal placement
- Reliable hold (TV is not going anywhere)
Less than good stuff:
- Install diagram is overly busy, initially confusing

Awesome Wall Mount

I have used SANUS wall mounts for our televisions for probably fifteen years or more. SANUS really sets the standard for really high quality wall mounts that can be installed by consumers or professionals alike. The wall mount will accommodate televisions between 40" and 90", which is just about every LCD or OLED television available today. The instructions are easy to follow and the box includes a drilling template that makes the installation process even easier. Just place the drilling template on the wall and you'll know exactly how the mount will look once its wall plate has been mounted. If you'll be installing the wall mount yourself, make sure you have a tape measure, pencil, level, tape, screwdriver, electric drill and a socket wrench (1/2 inch or 13 mm). It's also a good idea to have a stud finder if you're installing into wood studs. You'll also want to have a friend or family member available to assist you in lifting the TV onto the wallmount. Once installed, you'll have the ability to move the television to just the right viewing angle. I'd also suggest installing an electrical outlet behind the TV so you can minimize the cables that will be visible. Consult an electrician though if you don't feel comfortable installing the additional electrical outlet on the wall.

PROS:
- The look of this mount is really nice! I love how slim it is yet its high duty and can hold up to a 90” tv!
- Installation was a breeze a they include a cardboard cut out where you can mark your wall easily. Just of course make sure you mount it to a stud for that extra security.
- Once you have the TV mounted, the ease of use is excellent! You can bring it in and out easily, tilt it up and down or angle it from side to side.
- I really like how slim this mount is to the profile of the wall. It really adds an awesome look to this by making your tv look even smaller.
CONS:
- Nothing! This mount does exactly what it is supposed to do.
BOTTOM LINE:
- If you are looking for a TV mount with a super slim profile, but can still provide full motion, and has the flexibility to handle TVs from small to big than this is the mount for you! It is really easy to install and offers a ton of support and strength so you do not ever have to worry about any issues. Overall this is a great TV mount and I would definitely recommend!

No doubt that the SANUS brand is one of the best when it comes to TV mounting kits. The box is heavy which is a good indication that it is well-built and packed. All the installation components are well organized in the box and the instruction manual is colored and concise. It guided me through the entire installation with no issues. My TV size is 42” and it used to be sitting on a cabinet until I upgraded my new TV to this LG 42” UIQ9000 and planned to mount it. The SANUS wall mount came right on time. So I mounted the TV on the wall and the whole process was like a breeze. This TV mount gives me full motion and flexibility to move it around freely and effortlessly. All the post-installation adjustments are great and my TV was positioned how I liked it. Very sturdy and feels like it will last forever. Very slim and full motion allows me to extend and swivel and tilt, which is precisely what I needed for my TV. Also, it is well-thought-out that the company added a cable management attached to the metal bar to run the cable. After I run all my cables, they can barely be seen from the side. Very satisfied and it is a great product overall. Highly recommend it.

The SANUS Elite Super Slim Full-Motion TV Wall Mount is a solid choice for those looking to save space with a sleek, low-profile design. It sits only 1.6 inches from the wall but offers a generous 20-inch extension, making it easy to adjust viewing angles. The mount feels sturdy and works well for larger TVs, providing smooth motion with minimal effort. Installation, while straightforward, doesn't allow the TV to sit fully flush against the wall, which may be a consideration for some setups. Overall, it’s a great, stylish mount that offers flexibility and stability for your TV setup.

Mounted a 65in LG to this. It was easy to install and holds the TV solidly. Even fully extended, the TV is square and no movement. Others I have had will wobble when extended and dont hold the TV square in all positions. Worth the money. Dont buy a good high end TV and moount it to anything less.
Be certain to find and mount into the wall studs.

This is an excellent full motion mount. As per the specs, it can hold TVs up to 90 inches but I am using it for my 40" TV, so my review is for that.
The packaging is great. It comes with everything that you will need including a mounting template. The instruction manual is decent and there are links to a number of videos that will help you with the installation. I recommend that you take the time out and watch these videos. The installation was straightforward but time consuming. It took me close to 2.5 hours on my own.
The full motion mechanism is really good and super smooth (I have another full motion mount in my living room and I can easily feel the difference when moving the TV).
After the installation, it really lived up to its "Super Slim" name. There is also a feature to run and hide the cables into the metal bar. This makes the cable management really easy and neat. It has opened up space in my small bedroom and looks so classy.
Overall, I am very happy with this mount and definitely recommend it. I know that it is on a bit pricier side but given the quality of the build and super slim profile along with fluid motion, the price is well worth it.
