He also bought the $120 unboxing and assemble package after being told it included assemble of the stand. Not only did the holes in the mounting bracket not line up with the holes in the TV, the assemble crew said they did not do stands. I returned the stand with no problem, but got nowhere with BB on a partial refund for the installation package.

We’re sorry to hear about this experience — that’s understandably frustrating, especially when this was meant to be a gift. While we’re glad the stand return itself went smoothly, the misinformation about compatibility and the installation service is disappointing.
TV compatibility depends on the VESA mounting pattern on the back of the TV, and some models don’t align with certain stand brackets even when the screen size falls within range. Installation services and what they include are handled directly by Best Buy, so concerns about the assembly package and partial refund would need to be addressed with them.
We appreciate you sharing this feedback and are sorry the overall experience didn’t meet expectations.
