Opened and checked that all pieces were there, with no issue. Near completing installation, noticed that one of the release tabs was broken off. Appears as this was a defective item returned and resold as new. Hoping I can remove the TV whenever the time comes.

Sanus needs to make a version with 40" width. I searched and bought another one with 40"+ plate and 6 lag bolts. Other than this, it's a very good mount.

Beware of crookedness

I have to grab a step stool and adjust it every few days, as my TV is slanted at a down angle. Really sucks to have guests over and that’s the first thing they notice.

However, you can rest assured that this mount will hold your TV safely as it is designed with top quality materials and has been UL Listed. Meaning, it has been 3rd party tested to hold up to 4x the recommended weight limit!

I was willing to take the risk of losing a tv and a big portion of the wall. End result: I returned the wallmount.

I didn't need swivel, but wanted tilt since it was being mounted relatively high over a fire place mantel. Geek Squad installed it quickly and perfectly. They wore booties, vacuumed sawdust after drilling holes, and had spare screws in the truck when two screws that came with the mount were defective. Should subtract one star for defective screws, but Geek Squad made up for it, so added the star back. After install, was very happy that I got the tilt...makes a huge improvement to tv viewing.
