It seves the purpose

I was mislead as to being able to use my existing machined aluminum hinged wall mount. The bolt holes weren't the same distance apart. So I bought this as an adapter, and it had a lot of adjustability and various bolts, and served my purpose well, which was to attach my new tv to my existing wall mount.

Have bought several Sanus mounts from tilt style to swivel style for different sized tv's. All are solid construction and great quality. Zero issues with all five of them.
