Based on out setup and where the studs were, we used the supplied anchors. All these did was put holes in the wall, and didn't secure anything. Fortunately the tv was light enough that it worked fine with the bolts in the stud. Overall does what it needs to but may want to avoid the anchors when used with drywall.
