    on my samsung s9, when plugged in, would shut off the sound and only allow recording. no bueno, sorry. returned it.

    With this mic and a 15' extension cable I was able to space myself from my iPhone for video, but have audio pickup nearby for acoustic recordings.

    It didn't stay in my phone jack very well. Windsock kept falling off and the unit was easily knocked out of the plug. I switch to be better external microphone with an adapter the provides the right connectors. I still use it for "emergency situations" when I don't have the larger microphone available.

    surprisingly good sound recording unit. have used it for short video recording on iPhone and iPad. the play back is nice and clear on the video---voices come out great.

    I purchased this in order to record my upstairs neighbor because he is extremely loud and I need to have recordings as "evidence" for the board at my condo. Did not work well at all!
