I would rather have had one that includes a bottom bar so it doesn’t slip out on bumps

But then it wouldn’t stay on my vent. The 2 top prongs we’re breaking and wouldn’t stay up.

The section that attaches to the vent neither grips or does it have hooked ends to keep it in place. Every time you go to remove your phone it comes off with it and if you make a sharp turn or for whatever reason have to do an erratic move it will fly off the vent.

I can’t tell you how many car mounts I’ve tried. Every time I automatically avoided vent mounts because I assumed they would weigh down the vent and sag or they would fly back and forth with every turn of the car. I tried multiple highly-reviewed mounts in both dashboard suction and windshield suction models, and they always failed in the same way. After too much heat, the adhesive and suction combination would give out. I also tried magnetic mounts, but having a phone with wireless charging means awkward placement of the metal plate on the phone. This caused the phone to hang at weird angles and decreased the overall stability of the mount. I finally broke down and decided that in order to avoid suction, adhesive, or magnets I would have to try a vent mount. Thankfully for me, this was the one I tried. The mount is secure in the vent and holds the phone very snugly. There has been no wobble or shake to the phone during driving. The setup is so easy and minimal but incredibly effective. I couldn’t be happier to have finally found a product that works for me. To clarify, my car has horizontal vent slats that have failed with previous attempts at vent mounting.

It's a good phone holder, but you have to be careful not to break your vent fins when using it.

Falls out of the vent to easily. Usually when taking turns or hitting bumps

I’ve had two problems with this car holder. The first being that it frequently fell out of the vent - usually at the most inoppertune time and eventually it broke although I never abused it. (I did want to abuse it when it would fall out of the vent)

Honestly if I’d kept the packaging I would have returned it. It falls off the vent every time I try to use it. I’ve even googled videos to make sure I’m installing it properly. Spend the money to get a better one and definitely check reviews before buying!

Works until it gets hot from the sun, then loses is clamping strength and falls out

Does not consistently say on air vent of Nissan Pathfinder 2006. Some bumps and slight touch causes it to fall off.

Not much of selection for this niche. But it’s ok. Not great. Doesn’t let go of phone which is good and bad.

It falls frequently if you touch the phone while driving.
