Better than the factory supplied mount

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Garmin GPS that I bought 6 or 7 years ago, the factory windshield mounts suction cup got dried out and cracked. I ordered a factory replacement which lasted maybe 4 weeks before the suction cup on that cracked. I went to Best Buy to see what they had and saw this mount. I bought it and was impressed with the sturdy components. It cost more than the factory mount, but I think this is a case of buy once cry once, I'm sure it will outlast the GPS I have mounted on it.

sticks well to textured dash surfaces

Already have the air vent version, but my last rental's vent was too small for it. Tried this one and had no problem sticking to the cars textured dashboard. One issue I found was that the neck was rigid. If the dashboard is angled up or down, you can't adjust the angle of the phone.
