I have an iPhone X and perpetually keep a clear Speck case on it. One of the biggest things i like about the iPhone X is being able to just lay it down on wireless charger and it just begins charging. I began looking for a handsfree mount for my car and the Scosche mounts appealed most to me. I reviewed the Scosche handsfree mount WITH wireless charging, but, it was just too involved for my liking and it was visibly thicker than this mount that is basically just a magnet (i wanted something a little more low profile), and I didn't mind using a charging wire in the car while using the wireless charger at home or work. However, I was disappointed to notice that the metal plate that you install on the phone or case gets in the way of wireless charging. I installed the plate on my case and now I can no longer wirelessly charge. Now I have to wrangle the case off everytime I want to wireless charge. I wish someone would've told me this prior to buying. Thank god I didn't install the plate on my phone. I may end up just using a cradle mount for the car since this is going to become a hassle.

I have one in every vehicle I have and on every cell phone I have works great & doesn't move an inch.

I chose this brand only after reading several review sites that said the brand was safe to use with an iPhone. I have been using it with an iphone6 for awhile and have experienced no problems with using the phone, charging, or syncing. I do prefer the mounts that you can adjust or rotate the viewing angle compared to just this flat square but sometimes space does not permit one of those types of magnetic car/desk mounts. That is where this mount excels... Mine is used on a tight office desk wall space for example so phone doesn't go sliding off desk.
