It comes with an alcohol wipe to clean up the area first. The magnetism is pretty strong and the rubbery texture keeps the phone from spinning around. It stays at whatever orientation you want it to be. Highly recommend.

Saved my phone from the abyss
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A handy little device, it works and well my only complaint is that it only with one small and one larger sticker and I wish they'd have included an extra or two as if you have to reposition the magnet or change phone the device is rendered useless. The only caveat is that there wasn't much room to mount it in a useful location in my car but that is the problem of my car manufacturer not the device.

A Good Replacement Magic Mount

When I had to replace my GPS I needed a new magnetic mount to replace the one that was on the back of the GPS. The customer service representative said the Magic Mount Surface Magnetic Mount for Mobile Devices should do the job. It has worked well since I purchased it.

Works seamlessly make sure to place it on a flat surface and be a 100% sure before you add it because it isn't easy taking it off. Also center it on your phone where it wont block your speaker or your view when using it as gps on your phone.
