Having my phone this close to the vent with either the air or heat on, shut off my phone due to the temperature that it came into contact with. Would not recommend, phones need to be further from vent.

I would recommend trying to find a magnetic mount that has little knotches on the bottom to support the bottom of the phone so it doesn't have this issue.

First, Scosche claims you can insert a plate inside your phone's protective case and then the "powerful magnets" will hold your device in place. WRONG! I tried it that way... obviously it didn't work. I could have stuck it to the outside of my case, but why would I want to deal with cleaning off adhesive later on? Second, there is no adjustment with the vent mount, so if your vents aren't perfectly straight, your device will hang at an angle. Or, you'll have to point your vent up so high that it will do you no good for ventilation. The bottom line? Invest in a Steelie

This LOOKED promising. 2 magnets one large and one small. I used BOTH on my phone and the dang thing sticks to the mount for about 15 seconds. In attempting to put in on over and over. My phone fell every time. What a disappointment.
