Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the controller's build quality, adjustable triggers, helpful paddles, and comfortable grip. Many appreciate its lightweight design and ease of use, along with the extensive customization options. However, some customers reported issues with stick drift and battery life, while others found the back buttons to be less than ideal and the warranty period too short. The price point was also a factor in some negative feedback.

Stick drift hit really fast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I literally got stick drift within two months of having the remote, maybe even less time than that. I play daily for hours at a time and, at its price point, you'd expect it to hold up pretty well but that was not my experience. This is the third pro style gaming controller I've owned and I'd have to say this one got stick drift the fastest hands down. The remote feels good, the mappable buttons are great, but stick drift this soon or a remote at this price is a huge let down.

Solid heavy duty XBOX Controller, durable/sturdy
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used a lot of controllers for both XBOX and Playstation and I like a hefty, weighted type controller that can last the abuse of heavy game play. This controller holds up to that task with a sturdy, durable exterior, and heavy duty shell. The problem with most XBox controllers, they are just a shell of plastic and seem durable but when it comes down to it, they easily break and dont hold up to heavy game play. This controller is similar to other higher priced controllers, has interchangeable buttons and seems like it can hold up to the rigors of heavy game play. The only issue I saw with this controller, it is in fact battery operated and did not come as a rechargeable controller with a charging stand. It also is not compatible with charging stations due to the battery door not being compatible with the included battery door designs of rechargeable stands. I am not a fan of battery operated controllers due to the length of battery life and was surprised the door was not compatible with my charging stand. However still a solid controller and one I will enjoy using.

Better off getting the elite controller
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Xbox scuf controller is suppose to be better than the elite controller? I don't think so. Let me start off with that's nice about it: the grip is really nice and it comes with a nice cable. Plus you can buy different faceplates, and thumbsticks.now here comes the bad parts: you have to buy them separately. They only have 1 extra set of thumbsticks. You get 2 AA batteries non rechargeable. Sadly my thumbsticks started to wear out within 1 week. The paddle design was so Annoying for me it's not like the older model from scuff idk if it's because I'm used to the old design but i was able to have a finger on each paddle at the same time. I can't have more than 1 finger on a paddle with this one. So if you're playing Call of duty or any shooter and want that edge because every second counts, you won't. My fingers bump with each other or i press both paddles maybe if they separate the paddles a bit more this won't happen to me. There's no case either so if I want to take it with me and extra thumbsticks better put it In a bag. Unless you buy the kit that brings the case and the rechargeable battery . To me this controller will just make you spend more money for this kit and when the thumbsticks go bad you will keep buying more thumbsticks every few weeks.

Get your hands on it
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For years I have been using my Switch Pro controller for gaming on my PC. It's been doing a decent job, but I'm lazy and I don't like having to re-pair it with my Switch every time I want to play Nintendo. I decided that I needed a controller exclusively for PC gaming. After some back-and-forth research with other brands, I went with the Corsair SCUF Instinct Pro controller. Designed with XBox X/S in mind, it also works very well with PC. I must admit, I have never played an XBox, so I was a little worried if I would like the feel of the controller. It turns out that it's pretty similar to the Switch Pro, aside from the A/B and X/Y buttons being reversed. Also, the Instinct Pro sports 4 rear paddle buttons. I'm not sure how I feel about them yet. I haven't figured out their advantages, as it seems they each just duplicate what another button already does. I also find that I constantly press them on accident when readjusting or using one hand to grab a snack. I was a little disappointed at first that the controller isn’t rechargeable, but requires 2 AA batteries for wireless use. On the upside, the included batteries have lasted quite a while and I realized that I had been keeping my Switch controller plugged in via its USB cable, so I will likely do the same with this controller. It is my that a rechargeable battery pack is available or I could even use regular rechargeable AA batteries if wireless use is desired. Included in the box with the controller are a couple of different options for the joysticks. The default sticks regular length and feature a concave top. The alternate sticks are a couple different lengths and feature convex tops. I haven’t fully settled on one style (or length) over the other just yet. I kind of wish they were more similar to the PS4 and Switch Pro controllers, with the sort of ring around a convex top. You are able to purchase stick replacements via Scuf’s website, but I didn’t notice any for the Instinct Pro that were like Sony’s and Nintendo’s. Also available in the company’s website are interchangeable faceplates for the controller. I thought this was a pretty cool option for a little customization. Personally, for me they are a little too pricey, but it’s nice these sorts of things are available. For those that are into shooter games, the Instinct Pro features a “hair trigger” toggle for the LT and RT buttons. When reading about it I thought it was kind of silly, but after using it I find it to be a good option. Sometimes a trigger button can be a little spongy and you think you got out a few shots but in the heat of battle you failed to press the button hard enough. Engaging this feature ensures the slightest tap of the button will fire your shot.

Lightweight Elite Controller
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller that mimics the functionality of the Microsoft Elite Xbox controller. Biggest difference out the gate is that this controller feels a bunch lighter than the Xbox Elite. Which is not a bad thing. This controller also enables you to swap out the d-pad and the thumbsticks. The advantage this one has over the Elite controller is that it positions the paddles in a slightly better location on the back of the controller. One nice addition is the mute button on the controller for the 3.5mm audio jack. So for headsets that don't have an easy to access mute toggle, this button on the controller saves you some fumbling around. All the buttons and trigger are customizable inside the console and enable you to adjust the sensitivity and allow you to create the control experience that suits you best. You can direct wire this to the console, or leverage the built-in bluetooth connectivity to go wireless to the console. The faceplates are removable and there's an aftermarket for add'l colors and styles for the faceplate of the controller. So this gives you the ability to customize the look without spending a fortune for the custom controller shop at the microsoft store. Overall, it's a great alternative to the 1st party controller. I would recommend this to a friend.

Quality doesn’t match price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a solid control. It feels great in your hand and the grip is fenomenal. I have big hands too so that says a lot. The back paddles seem to be placed perfectly and feel so natural to use. To me that’s the best feature of the control, not the mouse triggers, but I also also like the thumb stick shape and material. The quick mouse triggers are awesome if you play shooters but also feel awkward. If you play with a head set you don’t get the satisfaction of the click noise, and it almost feels like you’re not pressing anything. Other than what I just mentioned it’s pretty much a stock xbox controller. Stick tension, accuracy, & response is mediocre. Face buttons have the same poor quality unresponsive feeling as a regular Xbox control. Elite thumb sticks are way better. They are so much more accurate and responsive, and you can adjust the tension unlike the scuf. The software with the elite make it so much more customizable too. I just can’t justify the price of the scuf with that kind of warranty. I use the elite core which I got on sale, and paired with scuf paddles. Can’t beat that combo for the money. Every controller has flaws but at this price point the scuf should be near perfect and paired with a longer warranty.

Great wireless pro gaming controller option
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This comes in an easy to open package with limited hardware but that's ok. There's a set of joysticks you can swap out if you choose. I wasn't in love with the back paddle buttons. They felt a little awkward to press them all, could be just the way I grip my controller but I couldn't feel very comfortable hitting all 4. They are not removable and so need to know that going into this purchase. There are other brands that allow that, this isn't one of them. You also can lock down or open up the trigger buttons depending on the style of game you are playing or the effect you are wanting to accomplish. There is a little toggle switch on the back of the controller for each one. Pairing with an xbox is just like pairing with any other controller out there. I was able to easily pair it to my windows pc with the microsoft xbox dongle by putting the controller into pairing mode and the dongle into pairing mode. I think it's a solid option for a pro gaming controller, I didn't knock a star off for the back buttons because I think it's just meant for a different grip than I use on the controller.

It's ok
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great controller. Customer service is great as well. My first controller wore out in about a year and had bad stick drift. Got a new controller from warranty. Controller lasted 4 months and stick drift settled back in. If you want to save some money. go with the elite controller as it is the same controller.

Can’t find anything better!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What i liked about the scuf crontroller is how LIGHT it is! Coming from playing other controllers like the elite 2, it is the lightest controller by far! Your hands dont get tired if you are a heavy hour gamer like me! What they can improve on is more settings on the controller trigger lb and rb buttons, they just have one adjustable setting but its good regardless. Highly suggest you stop wasting your time and check this out!

Better cheaper options exist
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product works well when it works. Very comfortable but the price is too high considering the xbox branded pro controller is cheaper with more pieces and native support. Ultimately I returned and went with the xbox pro controller. That and the bluetooth stopped working.

A pricey controller with poor quality support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When considering spending such a high amount of money towards a controller, it's important to know if the company who makes it will take care of you as a customer if you have a problem. In this case, SCUF (owned by Corsair) is going to try and squirrel out of warranty repair at any cost. They don't provide a way to email customer service, and opening a ticket is unnecessarily difficult due to their chat bot not providing an RMA if you ask for one. You have to ask several times, and THEN it will let you open a ticket. The controller will develop stick drift eventually, given the type of components the controller is built with. You are better off planning to buy a first party controller and then replace that controller twice for the cost of this one. Do yourself a favor and avoid this brand.
