Great custom wireless Xbox/PC controller
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Custom white Instinct Pro (gloss white faceplate + matte white back) for Xbox Series X/PC, $209 shipped in 2025. Pros • Looks absolutely clean next to a white Series X; no yellowing after 9 months. • Same killer instant triggers and four perfect paddles as the black version; still the fastest trigger feel on any Xbox controller. • Grippy rubber back + tall domed right stick = locked-in aim in Warzone/Apex. • Vibration still strong (non-removable motors). Cons • Gloss white front shows fingerprints and minor scuffs faster than matte colors (microfiber cloth fixes it in 5 seconds). • Still no Hall-effect sticks in 2025; light drift crept in around 550 hours, RMA was painless. • White + $209 price tag = you’re paying a little for the drip. Bottom line: Sexiest pro controller on the market right now and performs exactly like the regular Instinct Pro. If you want that all-white setup and live on FPS games, just buy it and baby the faceplate a bit. Zero regrets.

Best controller I’ve used. Offensively overpriced
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes it’s expensive. If your money is tight, there are many other options a lot cheaper and you shouldn’t consider spending almost double or in some cases more than double the price of an elite 2. Is the scuf a better controller, yes. Is it THAT much better, no it’s not. This controller is overpriced, it doesn’t even have Hall effect sticks, and should not even be considered by anyone who has a budget. Now, ignoring the price, this controller is my favorite controller. The back buttons are awkwardly designed, I’m unsure why they went the direction they went with that aspect, but just like every controller you will get used to them and so that isn’t really a dealbreaker for me. Out of the box this controller has effectively zero drift, after a full month of gaming multiple hours a day every day, still effectively zero. I have dropped this controller multiple times, it’s extremely durable. And the grips are superior to any other option out there right now. If price isn’t a factor, you will not regret this purchase.

The Nearly Perfect Controller
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. From the moment I picked up the box, I could feel the heft an quality from a company that brought me the blueprint for what is arguebly the best Xbox One Xcontrollers ever made. (You know what I'm talking about.) It's debatable that Xbox has always some of the best feeling controllers, so letting Scuff have a shot at making a new controler for the new Series(X-S) line of Xbox consoles and leave their name on the product, that has to be a dream come to fruition. The Instinct Pro is what every Xbox/PC controller should look and feellike from here on out. The box comes with the Arctic White controller( I'm starting to think that may be a trend this year) with a lengthy cable, for PC play( if you don't have a dongle) or you could use it bor your Xbox One, X, Series X & S system. There's also two additional thumb sticks, if you're a fan of the sunken dent style and let's not forget and I mean we should, but we can't. The only reason ths controller didn't get 5 stars. Say it with me now[ 2 AA batteries] I don't understand, for the life of me, why these people just can't go with a rechargable controller. I mean, they've done it before. I know, because I have the controller and I love it. It's taken its under coontroller mappable buttons scheme from the previously un-named controllers that you all know what I'm referrung to, and toned them down. I'm going to assume it's to keep the controller basically feeling like a slightly heavier standard controller. It also commes with a mic control button. useful when amswering someone that clearly doesn't understand that there is no paus in an online game and the fate of the world can't wait for their silly questions. Just kidding. There are no silly questions, only questions you shouldn't ask while in a death match. In the end, i will say that the Scuf Instinct Pro is a fantastic controller. It just needs to have an internal rechargeble battery pack inside. Then it would be pretty freaking perfect. But since it is an Xbox thing, it'll get a pass this time. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

It’s all about customization
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SCUF Instinct Pro is a great wireless XBOX controller that connected easily to my XBOX Series X at the push of a button. There is the option for wired play using the included 2-meter USB-C cord. My game’s not at a level where I would notice the reduced latency, but the included literature says it’s better. For me, the freedom of wireless wins. There are four control paddles on the rear of the controller. I’m a gamer in my mid-50s. That might explain my learning curve using the back control paddles. My son loves them and took to this controller like a duck to water. I told him this one’s mine, he can get his own! I have learned to incorporate the back paddles into my game, and they’re now second nature. Being able to leave my thumbs on the sticks is a game changer, and I'm never going back. The SCUF Instinct Pro has a textured non-slip grip that is a big improvement over standard XBOX controllers. My grip remains secure and hands stay cool over multi-hour sessions. This controller is a pleasure to use. Customization options abound. D-pad, buttons and thumbsticks are easily changed to suit your preference and style. Thumbsticks come in standard height and tall, concave or domed. The thumbstick material is comfortable while providing excellent grip. To remove the thumbsticks, the controller faceplate needs to be removed. It is held onto the chassis via magnets, and SCUF has struck the perfect balance between secure connection and ease of removal. SCUF offers a multitude of compatible faceplate options to customize your controller. Remapping the back paddles is done at the push of a button. SCUF has made this exercise incredibly easy. It can be even done mid-game with no need to quit to the dashboard or connect to your PC (yes, it is also PC compatible). It literally couldn’t be easier, and it’s a breeze to tweak configurations to suit your playstyle. A very cool feature is the ability to store three mapping profiles on the controller. Like the button mapping, these profiles can be switched on the fly, mid-game, by pressing a button on the rear of the controller. The current profile is indicated by a front panel LED that cycles through blue/red/green to indicate the selected mode. Another customization option is the inclusion of “instant” triggers. There are toggles on the bottom of the controller that reduce trigger travel distance from standard to near zero. When engaged, pulling the trigger yields instant actuation and feels like a mouse click. The controller has an integrated mute button to mute the mic on an attached wired headset. The button in intuitively placed above the headphone jack, illuminates when mute is activated and allows you to confirm at a glance if you’re muted. The SCUF Instinct Pro offers an impressive combination of technology and ergonomics that sets a new standard in customization and comfort.

Simply the best there is
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scuf gaming controllers have been the name of all names to have in the gaming world forever. They were the originals and basically created the market space. Others have tried to replicate or improve upon their aftermarket concepts, but they are still and will always be second to an actual Scuf controller. I have played games all my life, from the first NES in 1985 to now on XBOX and PC. I remember back in the MW3 days and knowing that I just got out played by someone with a Scuf. I feel privileged to finally have one myself and already I am able to see an improvement in my own game play. Borrowing from the Scuf website, the Corsair SCUF Instinct Pro White Performance Controller hits on each one of their core missions with this latest iteration. Innovation: With the instinct Scuf has gone to a four under button layout in lieu of their signature four paddle design. The button layout took a second to feel confident with but once you get it, it sticks. Performance: This is where the magic happens. The mouse click quickness and response time of the triggers is already winning engagements that I would have otherwise lost. The mentality of see first shoot first, is not necessary anymore. I am able to get more bullets down range than my opponent on every encounter. The analog sticks are taunt with the perfect amount of tension. Customization: The customizable paddles put the buttons I want right where I can use them without having to remove my thumbs from the analog sticks. The controller comes with three preset layouts for the undercarriage buttons. However, without having to log into a computer and download some app or something. You can quickly and easily remap your button layout to your own preference at any time. The faceplate is removeable, snapping on and off with a magnetic seal. You can acquire additional faceplates on the Scuf website under accessories. Ergonomics: The performance grip is a difference maker that I did not know I would care about so much. The positioning of the fresh style undercarriage button layout is stellar. I have mine right now mapped so I do not hit either LB or RB on top. I am forty two (do not judge, I already said I have played games my entire life) and have noticed that my hands are not cramping from prolonged use anymore. I am not an ace gamer and know that I will never be. That said though, I still want to be competitive and get as many dubs as possible. I feel like the Corsair SCUF Instinct Pro Performance Controller helps me achieve this more consistently. I 100% 10 OUT OF 10 WOULD RECOMMEND.

||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FYI: i am a big gamer, i play games that require active movement: CoD,gta,2k, etc Pros: Great Feel in hands,No batteries needed when plugged in (extremely lightweight),long durable cable included,Easy to clean, will last a long time if properly cleaned occasionaly, covered by total tech if any damage happens (stick drift, button stick), no input lag, easily customizable(scuf has awesome and cheap faceplates/thumbsticks/etc), easy button pairing, feels like an actual sized xbox controller with better grips, all 4 paddles are comfortable and better placed than the elite 2, mouse click trigger, the paddles are built in and cant fall off like the elite two hook magnents that can bend or fall off, customizable thumb sticks included, scuf is responsive to questions/concerns, easiest button mapping of any controller ive ever used. Cons: the grips do wear down after a while, pricey (but it blows the elite 2 away with comfort and function),no case, may take some getting used to using the 2 smaller paddles if you played with an elite or elite 2

Gaming controller
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent controller that feels very nice but the back battery plate tends to fall off. If it wasn’t for the battery plate coming loose while playing it would be 5 stars. The buttons feel very nice and have it to where the back triggers are like clicking a mouse. I like the battery option but hair wish the back was more secure.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great feel and weight. No slip grips are nice. The instant triggers are nice and the ease of programming paddles is super easy and does not have to have an app to do so. That can also be programmed on the fly. What kept it from being 5 stars is no Hall effect sticks and two of the paddles are awkward and hard to use.

Perfect. Just needs better sticks.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately for me this is my most favorite controller I have ever bought. Fits well in my hands, the back buttons are comfortable and placed perfectly, and all around never had issues with performance. Everything is perfect for a couple months until you develop stick drift. I am now having my controller replaced under factory warranty for the second time in a year. I only play Warzone/Call of Duty, so I tend to be hard on the sticks. I wish this controller can maintain the same shape and size and they just use tmr/ hall effect sticks. I now just purchased a Scuf Valor Pro Wireless and the controller feels bigger and Im not too crazy about it. It kind of makes me unintentionally push certain buttons. With the Scuf Instinct pro I'm able to dominate the controller. Never misclicking anything, and the size feels much better than the Valor Pro Wireless. I love this controller, just wish it had better sticks. Luckily Scuf has been really good and easy to deal with. I submit a warranty, send my controller to them, and then a new one is in the mail shortly after. Also

Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used this primarily for PC gaming. The feature that I love most about it is the instant trigger mode which bridges the delay gap from a long trigger pull and release before being able to pull again. Instant trigger mode is able to be turned on for each trigger separately, makes it useful in some games that you may want one trigger to be a long pull and the other to be a short pull. Gives an advantage in shooter games. Amazing grip texture that holds the controller in your grasp even with sweaty palms. Paddles on the underside that can be customized to replace the XYAB buttons to avoid having to switch from the right analog to the standard buttons, losing control over the look control to jump/reload/switch weapons. The paddles are perfectly positioned so they aren't pressed accidentally, but accessible to use. As a gamer that has usually used the standard XYAB buttons, it's going to take time for me to ingrain into my muscle memory to remember that the paddles are there, but I like the potential this provides. Connectivity and response of the controller is instantaneous, did not have any issues after hours of play. The controller is easily customizable. Analogs can be removed and swapped out. This comes with a spare analog to swap. Faceplate is easy to remove and can be changed out. I would like to see additional settings on the trigger pull, but overall this is a great controller that will increase your gaming performance.

Worth it if your into gaming hard.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its definitely the best...and I say THE BEST! when it comes to trigger locks! when your playing a shooter there is no play in the LT or RT AT ALL! its AMAZING in that part of this controller. The grips are the nicest of all my controllers I have...( and i have alot as you can see ) when it comes to comfort and not getting slippery after awhile like my elite 2 gets. ALSO! I was confused at this till i bought it... The controller comes with 2 sticks that are embeds that are the same height. I thought one was shorter one was taller...NO! So dont worry about buying that thumbstick pack thats in my pics ( unless you want more & or different colors ) when it comes the using Kontrolfreeks. Kontrolfreeks will 100% work with this controller right out the box. Now its very pricey...BUT! If you love gaming alot...then its *PRICELESS* kinda sucks its not built-in wireless, but nothing a xbox rechargeable kit cant fix. the 4 buttons on the back are very good, but im still getting used to the top 2. After having the elite Series 2 for along time in my hands with the scuf buttons on back ( not the original ones that come with the elite ) its kinda weird feeling atm...but the bottom 2 right now is like ( OMG! this is amazing ) Also love how you can take the front cover off and get different color/design plates on this controller. All im gonna say is. if you see this post GET IT! I was tempting myself then holding back for about 2 hours then finally went and got it & im glad i did ( for how much i game casually & competitively ) this controller beats them all hands down!

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Instinct Pro, I’ve tried to use some other controller including the Elite Series 2, Aim Controllers, and a few others…. But comes close to the grip and the feel of the controller, all the buttons/joysticks, and quite possibly the most comfortable and functional back buttons. Is it worth $250? Probably not. Is it better than the regular Xbox controller and the Elite? yes in my opinion.

Great controller but not for everyone...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this since I have been eyeing a Scuf controller for a few years now. I am not a pro gamer by any means but do like to win anytime I play and FPS like COD are my go to when I have anytime to game on my XBOX. My Gen 1 Microsoft Elite controller has started to suffer from drifting issues now for the last few months so it was time to update my controller. I love the look and feel of the controller, it fits great in my hands and the rubberized grips make the controller stay very comfortably in your hands. The abiltiy to pop the magentic faceplate off with ease to swap out the sticks is also a nice feature. I also like that you can purchase additional faceplates to customize it even more. I do like the rear button layout better than the paddle setup my Elite controller had but found myself struggling to use them very effectively in FPS. The default layout for Forza Horizon 5 also wasn't a lot of help but that is where the cusomization comes in. It is nice that you can remap the rear buttons or disable them entirely by mapping them to the Share button. The triggers on this one are the instant button as this is the Pro version and that has taken me quite a bit to get use to. I am still not sure that I like it, I wish it would allow a small amount of pull to engage vs. the split second click but I guess that is why Pro's would want that. Pros: - Comfortable for long gaming sessions - Customizable rear buttons can be easily remapped - Face plate is easy to pop up for custom ones or to swap out the thumbsticks - Great quality sound without any lag when headphones are plugged in Cons: - For me the triggers with the instant click actually caused me to do worse in COD - It only came with one of the longer additional thumbsticks so I have a shorter one for my left thumb and the longer one for my right thumb during FPS gaming sessions - No carrying case or set of two longer thumb stick - Have to spend extra if you want the additional thumb sticks or official case Overall these are high quality controllers, if you game for hours at a time or are very competetitive even if not gaming for a living this controller can deliver an edge once you get used to it. Just be aware that you don't get some of the extra accessories that you get with other high end pro controllers.

Great feeling controller with some pro features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Scuf Instinct Pro happens to be the first controller from the brand that I picked up, I've been a fan of the Elite Series controllers from Microsoft, however mine has worn significantly and doesn't always register bumper inputs. Scuf has been a name that has been around for some time and was curious to try their controller out. The Scuf Instinct Pro has four rear paddles that are remappable, it took me a moment to adjust my grip to not accidently press them, however with a slight adjustment they are designed in a place that I prefer over others I have tried. There is also three profiles you can configure which can be useful if the controller is shared, however I find it useful if the button layout is different in games to easily crouch, melee, jump or reload without ever having to take your thumbs off of the sticks to continue to aim or move. The thumb sticks are also interchangeable, you have the concaved top, or a rounded top depending on your preference. The faceplate and D-Pad hold on magnetically in key points that they feel sturdy. There is other faceplates and friction rings to change the look of your controller I also think this is great if you needed to clean your controller by chance, the buttons are fairly exposed without having to tear the controller down. The white controller I got has gray accents with white and gray buttons, all of the others have black buttons with matching anti fraction rings, outside of the steel gray. The Instinct Pro comes with a USB-C cable to plug in for wired connection, however there is a battery compartment for wireless use, designed for Xbox it does work wirelessly with their consoles. There is a dedicated mute button on the controller right above the headset ports, which offers both the 3.5mm jack or the various headset adapters. Overall the Instinct Pro gives the feel of the Standard Xbox Controller, with a little extra weight and added features. The triggers do have a couple settings you have your traditional pull, with the flip of a switch, their "Instant Triggers" which is an immediate click which they describer as a "short mouse-click action" which I agree with. I am really curious to see how this controller lasts over time, build quality feels solid, their is a nice texturized grip with added comfort, my palms don't get too clammy when using the controller in long sessions, and although it's a different material from the rest of the controller in blends in well with no lifted edges on the grip, it blends in well. Other than adjusting my grip slightly for the rear paddles, the only thing that I had to adjust to was the switches to activate the instant trigger, they stick up a little and have a little point to them. If you by chance need to change the pull quickly on the triger you can easily find them, but it took me a moment to adjust to. Outsite of those couple little quirks that I notice, this is a great controller. If you're a fan of the Official Xbox Controller, this will have a natural feel, but with a couple added feature that take it one step further if you are looking for a Pro Controller. Interchangeable sticks and plates, it will be great for anyone to customize the look or the feel for those looking to get a little creative.

A Very Expensive Option, But Worth It.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Microsoft Elite Series 2 for a little over a year. It's an excellent controller and I definitely recommend it. I mention it because that's what made me hesitant to try the Scuf Instinct Pro. Some things I prefer on the Scuf: 1. Precise, smooth analog sticks. 2. fantastic grip for your palms. 3. Fantastic triggers. 4. Trigger stops turns the impulse triggers in to mouse click, mechanical triggers. I have some nitpicks. 1. To change out the sticks, you have to take the magnetic faceplate off and pull the sticks off the mechanism. Compared to the Elite's magnetic solution, it's just not as intuitive. 2. While buttons can be remapped to the back buttons on the fly, it's not as intuitive as the Elite's software solution built in to the Xbox. I think based on a pure money/value comparison, I would point people toward the Elite Series 2. The software customization is too good and it's a very nice controller. That being said, I keep finding myself picking up the Scuf controller for my play sessions now.

An interesting alternative to the Elite controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good controller, just a bit difficult to get used to. Once you do, its possibilities seem a bit more endless than comparable controllers like the Elite. To my fat fingered gamers: be wary, the paddles are a bit funky. For some reason, they decided for an inward/outward paddle set up, which can lead to some accidental clicks. It’s definitely toned down quite a bit as I’ve gotten used to using the controller, but it happens occasionally still and it can be extremely frustrating to accidentally hit a button that’s tied to an input that can throw an entire game (for those who play comp or FPS like me, such as Apex). Just be cautious if you do choose to bind these paddles to an important function. My last complaint: longevity. I bought this controller and within 2-3 weeks of gaming the right stick had MASSIVE stick drift. After messing with the dead zone settings, removing the faceplate to clean/airdust, and even switching out the analog sticks, it was deemed a controller issue and I had to have it returned/replaced. So take my advice: IF YOU END UP LIKING THE CONTROLLER, BUY THE WARRANTY AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. I personally am going to stick with the Instinct Pro for the time being because of its usefulness as a paddled controller. It’s lighter and more comfortable than the Elite, but it does not appear to be as durable. Unless it becomes more of a hassle to own than it already has been, I’ll stick with it. This review is NOT meant to come off as negative, but pre-cautionary. I do thoroughly enjoy the controller, it just has its flaws…

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I prefer the feel of this controller over the Elite Series 2. Finally Found a Reliable Controller Alternative!
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a longtime Xbox Elite controller enthusiast - the first generation was fantastic. However, I went through TWO newer Elite controllers that both developed terrible stick drift issues, which was incredibly frustrating. After switching to this SCUF controller, I'm pleased to report: ✅ Zero stick drift- the main reason I made the switch ✅ Better ergonomics- the rear button placement is much more comfortable for smaller hands like mine ✅Solid build quality- feels durable and well-made Pros: - No stick drift problems (unlike my Elite controllers) - Improved button placement for smaller hands - Reliable performance - Great alternative to Xbox Elite series Cons: - None identified so far Bottom Line: If you're experiencing stick drift with Xbox Elite controllers or have smaller hands, this SCUF controller is an excellent upgrade. Highly recommended! Would I buy this again? Absolutely yes.
