I love the feel of this controller but in 10 days the right stick is drifting up so much that I have to hold down constantly. I would expect better quality for $250.

I love this--- it is everything I would like in a controller. First of all, it is very sturdy -- no squeaky noises like the usual “affordable” ones I buy elsewhere, grips firmly, and feels very durable. The feel on the hand is perfect while the rubber surface and the texture is nice to hold. It does not feel odd to grip, even though it is not an OEM Xbox controller. In fact, it really feels comfortable. Connectivity is great too. I just plugged it in my PC and it recognizes it. On Epic Games, even if I unplug it, as long as there is the battery of course, it still works perfectly without any lag. On other streaming services though I have to keep it plugged in. But it is fine because the cord is nicely made too and seems very durable. Audio Jack is great, and is expected for this device. I click on the main Xbox button and it pulls up my Xbox profile plus the settings without any set up. It also has remappable profiles with some preset buttons. The back buttons though—it does take some getting used to. I just can’t map them as jump buttons yet, because I accidentally press them when I panic. But they are good extra buttons to have. The triggers too have a quick fire setting or a gradual press setting which is perfect for driving games. What I like most about it is the durability of it. I know I have only had it for a couple of days—but the fact that I can change the thumbsticks and remove the D pad gives me comfort that this controller will last me, even if I play more than 4 hours a day, for months. I am sure, once I get more used to the extra buttons and its fully customizable mappings, I will always have more Battle Royales!

I have been very happy with this controller so far. I like how the faceplate is magnetic and pops on/off easily to swap out the sticks. It feels like a standard XBox Series controller, though it feels a bit heavier and sturdy, which is a good thing. I primarily use it in wired mode, and the performance has been flawless so far. The zero travel setting on the L and R buttons is great, and makes your triggers which typically have a long travel just click like a standard face button. I can see how some FPS players would like this adjustment since it makes the trigger buttons instantly responsive. I have not been able to fully test battery life yet, as I mainly use this controller wired to my gaming PC, but I have had zero issues with sensitivity or stick drift so far. It fits in my hands well, and all buttons have a solid feel to them. The domed spare sticks that come with it feel very nice, and I can see them adding precision while aiming. Another feature I like is that no 3rd party software is needed to update or customize the controller settings, it is customizable just like any 1st part xbox controller in the xbox settings, or on PC in the XBox Accessories app.

    Good Customizable Xbox Controller

The SCUF Instinct Pro controller by Corsair is a pretty good controller. It has a good weight and feels great in the hands with the non slip grip material. There are a couple of features I liked about this controller. The instant trigger switch is something new for me. This feature when activated reduces the full motion of the trigger buttons to activate. Kind of like a mouse click and its instant. The controller comes with 4 paddle buttons built in on the bottom of it. Of course you don't have to use them they make some of the XYBA button pushing quicker. They are completely programable but the controller has 3 configurations modes built in for quick mode swapping for different types of games. The SCUF controller comes with an extra of pair of thumbs sticks with different lengths. You can swap them out for your preference. The face place is also swappable but you have to purchase a different one separately. It comes with a braided USB-C cord and a pair of AA batteries. After playing with this controller for a week, the only difference can actually tell between the SCUF and regular xbox controllers is hardly noticeable in performance. The quick triggers and paddles are really nice but the price just doesn't justify it for me. This "PRO" controller retails for $230 usd which is more than 3x the price of a normal controller. If you want to experience and different playing style, I would recommend this controller if you don't mind the price.

This is the first premium controller I have ever owned. I love this controller. It works great and I couldn't be happier. The design is sleek and modern with texture and grip. It fits comfortable and feels good in my hands when using all the buttons and joysticks. I really like that it has the customizable triggers. I play a lot of first person shooters and fighting games and having the reload and switch weapon buttons so easily at my fingertips really makes a pretty big difference in my gameplay experience. I shaved a decent amount of time when replaying levels in one of my favorite games. It syncs with my xbox one x and my pc effortlessly. Works great for both machines. The headset port and the 3.5mm headphone jack are a nice convenience. Work great with my headset. The ability to change out the joysticks is nice but it would be better if it came with interchangeable d pads, trigger paddles and other joystick options. I feel it would be better for a wider audience if it has these things. Also, I do not like that it doesn't come with it's own rechargeable battery. At this price point, it should. All in all it is a great controller that could use a few extras to make it perfect.

Solid heavy duty XBOX Controller, durable/sturdy

I have used a lot of controllers for both XBOX and Playstation and I like a hefty, weighted type controller that can last the abuse of heavy game play. This controller holds up to that task with a sturdy, durable exterior, and heavy duty shell. The problem with most XBox controllers, they are just a shell of plastic and seem durable but when it comes down to it, they easily break and dont hold up to heavy game play. This controller is similar to other higher priced controllers, has interchangeable buttons and seems like it can hold up to the rigors of heavy game play. The only issue I saw with this controller, it is in fact battery operated and did not come as a rechargeable controller with a charging stand. It also is not compatible with charging stations due to the battery door not being compatible with the included battery door designs of rechargeable stands. I am not a fan of battery operated controllers due to the length of battery life and was surprised the door was not compatible with my charging stand. However still a solid controller and one I will enjoy using.

Best Controller For Hard Gaming, Hands Down!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I can never understand the difference in price between the white, black and this design. Why is the white controller $219, the black one $229 and the black and red $239? As a marketing professional, I understand demand, availability, and if there is a special promotion such as a "COD" controller design, etc., there is going to be a higher price simply because demand. But it's a little frustrating. With that being said, the Scuf Instinct Pro is the best controller I have ever used and it takes so long before it has stick drift, even for me who is rough on controllers due to severe nerve damage! I buy a couple other different ones simply for looks but I don't use them for shooter or games I want to compete in. The Scuf Instinct Pro is, by far, the BEST CONTROLLER on the market, hands down!
