Not For Me
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SCUF NOMAD has left me with mixed feelings. For starters, this gaming controller is well built and the attention to detail shows. The controller has a sturdy feel in the hand and the mechanism that extends, allowing your phone to be inserted, has an action that feels buttery smooth. All of the buttons have a nice tactile feel and everything seems to be positioned appropriately. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives end for me. I will say that the size is much better than most phone controllers that I've use but I still feel my hands getting cramped after a short period of time. The thumbtacks also feel a bit mushy for me and have almost no resistance. Again, the SCUF seems to be at the top of its class in quality for these controllers but the ergonomics put your hand in an unnatural position and I couldn't use it for more than 20-30 minutes. The app is the real star of the show. The set-up process was incredibly easy and the step-by-step guide was incredibly helpful. I also like the game recommendations because sometimes it can be difficult trying to find a new game to try. You can also utilize the app to map buttons as needed. I was expecting a better experience from the SCUF NOMAD but there were simply too many issues for me. Maybe if you have smaller than average hands you would be fine but when I can't use a controller for more than 30 minutes... it makes it difficult to recommend.

Great Mobile Gaming Controller for IPHONES.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller has almost everything I wanted in a mobile gaming controller! It has Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility, an app for customization, Hall effect thumbsticks, tactile triggers and buttons. I love this controller. It works so well for my IPhone 15 Pro Max, It fits snug as the controller expands just enough to fit my IPhone. It comes with an adapter for an IPhone pro max phones that have a bigger camera bump. The adapter makes your iPhone sit higher up so the camera bumps has room and doesn’t get scratched. The only thing this controller is missing is pass through charging, but it is a Bluetooth controller with 20 hours of battery so you don’t need to charge it every day unless you game for a really long time.

Great Controller!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SCUF Nomad is a great mobile controller that feels very high quality! It’s very easy to connect to my iPhone 16 pro max and I do not have to remove the case at all. The battery life is great as well and it does not get hot while playing games.

Could be better
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The overall fell of the controller is a lot better for people who are used to playing on an xbox/ PS controller, i would definitely recommend this to someone with larger hands. The only con it has is its bluetooth connectivity, while it isnt always a problem the controller’s input might lag on more demanding games sometimes. It isnt always a problem but when it begins to happen you will definitely notice it.

Solid value controller when on sale
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a controller to play games and use emulators on my iPhone and this did the bill. I usually prefer controllers that connect via usb-c but this is easy to use and battery is pretty solid. Comfortable to use for longer play sessions.

Best wireless mobile gaming controller
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While this is the best wireless mobile gaming controller I’ve used, the additional latency does take some getting used to unlike controllers that plug into your phone. If you’re into mobile gaming and don’t want to take off your phone case to use a plug in controller, then I highly recommend trying this one.

Laggy
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high hopes for the Scuf mobile controller, especially given its reputation in the console space. The build quality feels premium, and the ergonomics are solid for long sessions. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by noticeable input lag. Whether playing fast-paced shooters or racing games, there was a slight but consistent delay between button presses and on-screen actions. It made competitive play frustrating and took away from the overall responsiveness. For casual gaming, it might be fine—but for anything more precise, the input lag is a deal-breaker.

Great Controller. Would buy again
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from the Backbone to this when I upgraded from a Lightning iPhone to a new USB-C model. Overall, this controller has a better handfeel than the Backbone and has a lot better build quality. The Scuf software is also really good in comparison with the Backbone, which keeps trying to get you to subscribe to their service. The button layout can be challenging though. The right side layout makes it challenging to use both sticks and also access the buttons. I largely play Warzone Mobile and on when I play on my XBox, I'm able to adjust my hands to use the stick and also use the buttons when applying armor. The size of the controller makes it hard to do that. I think the buttons are just too close to the stick. Otherwise, it's a great package. I was concerned about latency bc it uses a Bluetooth connection instead of plugging in, but it's been great so far. There have been some hiccups, but it isn't clear if it's just mobile software vs the connection to the controller itself. Overall, I'd suggest this to anyone in the market for a mobile controller.

Good but not for me
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The joysticks felt nice, minimal input lag through Bluetooth and felt nice in the hands. Fit my iPhone 16 pro max with a slightly hefty case on no problem. Controller felt decent enough in my hands but the face buttons were small and felt mushy to press for me. Returned them.

Great phone controller
|Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve enjoyed my time with the SCUF nomad. It’s very comfortable and the customization through the app is great. The analog sticks are much better than the backbone. I also enjoy not having to remove the case to use it. Only downside is my hand cramps up after a little while after using in bed because of the weight.

Great controller for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great controller for mobile gaming, I like the grip on it and that I don’t need to take my phone out of the case to use it unlike other controllers. I like that it has a good grip on the back and rear buttons. The device feels sturdy.

Needs modification for iPhone 17 pro/max
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does not fit the iPhone 17 pro / Pro Max. The camera bump does not let the phone sit properly on the side rubber mounts and cannot secure properly. However, if you have a dremel , and are not scared to do some modifications, you can absolutely carve out the necessary space required to fit the camera bump WITHOUT sacrificing any structural integrity of the controller. I got the scuf on sale for $30 so it really wasn’t my concern if it got messed up, however it did turn out way better than expected and it holds the phone securely in place.

Great hardware, a few software/bluetooth issues
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Build quality is excellent, hall effect joysticks are a plus, buttons and d pad are responsive and clicky. Also has 4 back buttons which is a must for me. Bluetooth is a bit of an issue however. When it works, its great and theres no noticeable latency, however, often 20 minutes or so into playing, it develops a significant lag and I have to unpair and restart my phone or iPad. Got this for a good price and love everything else about it so will hold onto it in hopes they roll out a fix, but if you’re not tech savvy or don’t want to have to fuss with your controller, go for the Backbone or something similar with a wired connection.

Nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Imo Ive played with this controller for about a week and a 1/2, 2 1/2-3 hours a day after work, 3-4 days out the week and I honestly like it. NO I haven't experienced serious lag as others but there have been times, 2x's not back to back, where I wasn't sure if it was me or the controller. Eh! Im not tripping. The grips feel nice, a lot of people want more button clickyness but it's honestly clicky enough. Back triggers feel springy. The app is better than most, and the only thing you might find frustrating if you've never used this type of controller is the M1 M2 buttons because your not use to them you tend 2 forget they're there in critical moments of play Im getting a white one as well. Pick one up for yourself if you'd like you wont be salty.

Durrable
|Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only thing i would change is the action buttons being below the thumb sticks. But the 2 programable buttons on the back help alot. The facy that it has a beattery of its own is so much more convent.

Gaming on the go got easier!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for gaming on the go. It's not better than having a normal controller but for mobile gaming and ps remote play. It's probably as good as it gets! I have a playstation portal and I find myself using this more out of convenience and portability. My main con is the thumbsticks feel a bit loose, they are full size which is nice but getting accuracy in the first 30% of the stick (even with software adjustment) isn't perfect.

Gaming on the Go
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m giving it a 4/5 because the stick placement does take a lot of time to get used to. Also the fact that this controller relies on Bluetooth over a simple plug and play makes for some latency problems. Overall it’s a good controller to whip out whenever you get that urge for some gaming on the go!

Pretty good!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The scuf Nomad is a great controller if you are really into mobile games! my main concern is how loose the joysticks feel for being hall-effects, overall though it is a very solid mobile gaming controller and is very comfortable in the hands!
