The SCUF Nomad is a great mobile controller that feels very high quality! It’s very easy to connect to my iPhone 16 pro max and I do not have to remove the case at all. The battery life is great as well and it does not get hot while playing games.

This works only on IOS Devices. iPhones and iPads. It works very well for my iPhone device. It feels sturdy and premium when in hand. However if you have a plus/Max iPhone you have to use a little rubber piece that comes with it to raise the phone so that the camera bump doesn’t let your phone slip out. Although my phone still does want to fall out and I have to push it in every once in a while. Which is rather annoying. A missed opportunity is android and switch support. This is this devices big caveat. It’s great with IOS for the high price tag it doesn’t give you great value. I paid $40 on sale. This value is even worse at $100 MSRP. For $40 you can get the Gamesir X5 lite controller. Which is Bluetooth and works on IOS, Android, switch, and PC. The SCUF Nomad doesn’t even work on switch, which is a big miss. The nomad also barely fits in my iPhone 14 Pro Max with a slim case. So you can only imagine the newer iPhones which get slightly bigger each and every year. In a few years you won’t even be able to fit this on your iPhone. The road and buttons are also small. I have smallish hands and even for me it’s noticeable small. If you have big hands, I think it’ll feel uncomfortable. The joystick are full size, they give you two dome caps in box as well. High quality Hall effect sticks and caps which feel great. The grips have rubber material on it, which both look and feel great. The app isn’t required to use the controller, which I made sure to try. That is a huge plus. The app itself is good but having to individually add your games to the launcher is annoying and that it self made me not even use it. Battery life is great. I haven’t charged it once after putting hours on it. The bumpers are nice and quiet and the triggers have less range then I would like but it’s still good enough range. If you are only going to play on iPhone and sometimes iPad, this is a great controller to purchase. However if you want more value out of your controller get something like a Gamesir x5s. It works on pretty much everything, which for someone like me that uses iPhone, android, and switch, it’s a no brainer to pick the X5s instead of this. That being said I do plan on returning this for the reasons I have stated and for the reason that my left bumper is having issues and needs more pressure for the bumper to be read as an input. 3 stars for great hardware and great potential, but it’s lack of support for other platforms (which SCUF themselves even said android would be supported in the future but has remained quiet with no update more than a year later), and very lacking stretch for fitting devices limits how good a value this device gives you. I only recommend to iOS users.

The overall fell of the controller is a lot better for people who are used to playing on an xbox/ PS controller, i would definitely recommend this to someone with larger hands. The only con it has is its bluetooth connectivity, while it isnt always a problem the controller’s input might lag on more demanding games sometimes. It isnt always a problem but when it begins to happen you will definitely notice it.

I had high hopes for the Scuf mobile controller, especially given its reputation in the console space. The build quality feels premium, and the ergonomics are solid for long sessions. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by noticeable input lag. Whether playing fast-paced shooters or racing games, there was a slight but consistent delay between button presses and on-screen actions. It made competitive play frustrating and took away from the overall responsiveness. For casual gaming, it might be fine—but for anything more precise, the input lag is a deal-breaker.

While this is the best wireless mobile gaming controller I’ve used, the additional latency does take some getting used to unlike controllers that plug into your phone. If you’re into mobile gaming and don’t want to take off your phone case to use a plug in controller, then I highly recommend trying this one.

I’ve enjoyed my time with the SCUF nomad. It’s very comfortable and the customization through the app is great. The analog sticks are much better than the backbone. I also enjoy not having to remove the case to use it. Only downside is my hand cramps up after a little while after using in bed because of the weight.

I went from the Backbone to this when I upgraded from a Lightning iPhone to a new USB-C model. Overall, this controller has a better handfeel than the Backbone and has a lot better build quality. The Scuf software is also really good in comparison with the Backbone, which keeps trying to get you to subscribe to their service. The button layout can be challenging though. The right side layout makes it challenging to use both sticks and also access the buttons. I largely play Warzone Mobile and on when I play on my XBox, I'm able to adjust my hands to use the stick and also use the buttons when applying armor. The size of the controller makes it hard to do that. I think the buttons are just too close to the stick. Otherwise, it's a great package. I was concerned about latency bc it uses a Bluetooth connection instead of plugging in, but it's been great so far. There have been some hiccups, but it isn't clear if it's just mobile software vs the connection to the controller itself. Overall, I'd suggest this to anyone in the market for a mobile controller.

The joysticks felt nice, minimal input lag through Bluetooth and felt nice in the hands. Fit my iPhone 16 pro max with a slightly hefty case on no problem. Controller felt decent enough in my hands but the face buttons were small and felt mushy to press for me. Returned them.

Great controller for mobile gaming, I like the grip on it and that I don’t need to take my phone out of the case to use it unlike other controllers. I like that it has a good grip on the back and rear buttons. The device feels sturdy.

Build quality is excellent, hall effect joysticks are a plus, buttons and d pad are responsive and clicky. Also has 4 back buttons which is a must for me. Bluetooth is a bit of an issue however. When it works, its great and theres no noticeable latency, however, often 20 minutes or so into playing, it develops a significant lag and I have to unpair and restart my phone or iPad. Got this for a good price and love everything else about it so will hold onto it in hopes they roll out a fix, but if you’re not tech savvy or don’t want to have to fuss with your controller, go for the Backbone or something similar with a wired connection.

Lagg works good but just very laggy response and it feels amazing in hand

The only thing i would change is the action buttons being below the thumb sticks. But the 2 programable buttons on the back help alot. The facy that it has a beattery of its own is so much more convent.

Imo Ive played with this controller for about a week and a 1/2, 2 1/2-3 hours a day after work, 3-4 days out the week and I honestly like it. NO I haven't experienced serious lag as others but there have been times, 2x's not back to back, where I wasn't sure if it was me or the controller. Eh! Im not tripping. The grips feel nice, a lot of people want more button clickyness but it's honestly clicky enough. Back triggers feel springy. The app is better than most, and the only thing you might find frustrating if you've never used this type of controller is the M1 M2 buttons because your not use to them you tend 2 forget they're there in critical moments of play Im getting a white one as well. Pick one up for yourself if you'd like you wont be salty.

Great build quality, love the hall effect sticks, they feel smooth and responsive. I also like how they will never develop drift. The mobile app is good and the battery life is excellent

Great for gaming on the go. It's not better than having a normal controller but for mobile gaming and ps remote play. It's probably as good as it gets! I have a playstation portal and I find myself using this more out of convenience and portability. My main con is the thumbsticks feel a bit loose, they are full size which is nice but getting accuracy in the first 30% of the stick (even with software adjustment) isn't perfect.

The scuf Nomad is a great controller if you are really into mobile games! my main concern is how loose the joysticks feel for being hall-effects, overall though it is a very solid mobile gaming controller and is very comfortable in the hands!

I’m giving it a 4/5 because the stick placement does take a lot of time to get used to. Also the fact that this controller relies on Bluetooth over a simple plug and play makes for some latency problems. Overall it’s a good controller to whip out whenever you get that urge for some gaming on the go!

This nomad is crazy cheap crazy good i use the back buttons for the triggers when im playing Xbox cloud gaming is fun compared that to a backbone is crazy fun (p.s don’t sue me backbone)

Nice build quality and felt great in my hands. Easy is pair and i wiuld recommend for the gamer on the go.

Loved the feel and quality but had to return this because the input lag was very bad. There’s a bunch of reddit posts of other users with the same issue. Controls will randomly lose bluetooth connection making it impossible to aim or do anything in shooter games.
