kind of a bland boring game. especially if you are rolling solo.

This game was not what I hoped it would be. It is not programmed so that you can play it without other interference from other players who have joined the game. I will be returning it for a credit and getting a different game.

it's so bad that on this game you need to have internet account for you can play all the good stuff that the game has to offer. You have to be a slave with the Microsoft Xbox Live for you can play this game.

Haven’t put a lot of time in yet but very time consuming and small reward for your efforts. Also at the mercy of people who have had more in game time to plunder you.

Don't buy this game.. beyond crazy how much you have to do just to sail a boat. And online play is stupid for this game. And the only way you can play it. I regret buying it wish I could get my money back

This game is so childish, and very scattered in the actual play. Online players do not work together to accomplish what needs to be done.

I wish it would be specified that Xbox live was required. I bought it online and did not pay attention, my son neither, so after the download he could not play !

absolutely nothing to do in this game... no objectives.. no goals..... i couldnt even give this away for free to a homeless guy its so bad

The game is fun and ambitious. But after playing for a couple of hours, you'll have experienced all the content has to offer. It's a shame too.

Maybe after a numerous amount of updates it might be worth a bargin bin buy, but this... this is just not good, not good at all.

I really wish I had known that an XBox Live Gold Monthly subscription was required when I pre-ordered. One star for Best Buy.

I was skeptical when I first saw footage of the game. It seemed too bleak and simple, what is there to do? Then MS started slowly showing new content and footage and it became more appealing. I pre-ordered the game and have tried the Closed Beta and I don't remember the time before this one where I said "This game is sick." to a multiplayer game while nervously chuckling to people I was playing with. The nervousness came from the thrill of the game. You go on missions which are only limited to looting chests in beta, and get to know/bond with your teammates. Sometime after going out to sea you may run into other pirates and when you and 2 other ships have all come to the same island from opposite sides and you all got chests on your ships, things get intense and your team's bond and teamwork is tested like I haven't felt before or in a long time in a game. I was lucky enough to log in and join a team with a guy who helped with learning the game and we voyaged out for 2.5 hours together while cycling through new members on our team. So remember that this game can take at least an hour to get used to but ultimately its easy to pick up. One time we were all looking at the map and a newcomer got so drunk and threw up all over us so we put him in the Brig, which is a little cage on the ship's bottom level serving as a timeout. Another time we saw another ship and we had no treasure so we risked attacking them only with 3 teammates. After some back and forth battle moments, we sunk their ship and they happened to have 3 chests of booty which we stole and brought back to town. A cool part of the game is that gear is simply cosmetics and there are no levels or super powerful weapons you get from playing a long time. The good thing about that is everybody can play together regardless of rank, nobody gets left out and if you don't play as much as your friends, that doesn't mean you two will have to stop playing together because they are too far ahead. It's a fun game and the experiences it offers are fresh, exciting and imaginative. Excited for Day One and where the game will go from here.

Although the game isn’t out as of yet, I was privileged to be selected for Alpha testing for the game. I can’t say much except for the fact that even in an alpha stage, the game is down right amazing! I love the direction the game is going. I would pre order this game in a heartbeat because this is one of the few games I know for a fact will be good at release.

Some people say not much to do. They must not be an mmo player who likes to go PvP. Not only on islands but also on ships! You can go for booty and steel booty, fix up your ship and then get blasted from a canon to the nearest island! Much to do if you know how to play. I love being a pirate. I'll do any job on the ship including storing you in the brig. Although it is not perfect I believe we need more tunes on the instruments. With this said mate, it is not for everyone.
