Fun co op multiplayer pirate game best experienced with friends.

Let me start off by saying the graphics are absolutely stellar. While sailing the ship around you can easily spend several hours experiencing the wind, rain and wave affects. Stunning. The game takes forever to load on X Box One X. Really, start it up and then go get your favorite beverage because when you return the game will still be loading. The developers included splash the words to a cute pirate song to try and distract you while it's loading. It may work once but after that it's simply annoying. The game play itself is SLOW. Seriously, the missions involve starting at an island, sailing to another island and digging treasure or grabbing farm animals and then taking back to the original island. They take forever. In addition, there is a high probability someone will come along and kill you. Usually, someone or group of someones are just running killing everybody and taking the loot. Which means you have to start all over. If you happen to die you go to what I assume is Davey Jones locker. Where you WAIT again (forever) for the game to respawn you somewhere else. I really wanted to like the game. I was hoping for a fancy Age of Booty game. But alas 'tis not to be.

best game of all time if i could rate on a scale from one to one hundred i would say 10,000

Game looks amazing, great water effects and weather changing. Wind shift and wave patterns are on point. The sail directions, and ship control are on point. Thats about where the good stops. For a cell-shaded cartoon game it look goods. No character customization except for "wearables". Ships are all the same except for "visual" customization. Weapons and equipment are all the same except for aesthetics. Definitely not a game that is complete or really anything. There is no tutorial, no storyline, and single player is absolutely tasking. Basically if you play by yourself or with a small group, expect to be murdered by the one group of 4 or more on a galleon. Definitely not a game worth $60.

I am looking forward to the online play. Also, it will be available on Game Pass to try out first before getting physical copy.

I got to play the beta and man im sorry this game was veryy boring.. if you dont have voice chat its veryyyy hard to communitcate and i find this game just boring im sorry im a xbox fan since day 1 and now this is just boring rather pre order God of War thats actually worth your money then this

Spent 3 hours doing a quest and got killed by two other ships. It is very frustrating when this happens Sea of thieves needs to do something about this this completely ruins the game. It is not even worth it for the $1 game pass

It requires XBOX live gold membership. It is not mentioned in the display picture. However it is printed on the physical disc case they originally sent. Very disappointed.
