If you're looking for more people to join your crew outside of the in-game matchmaking system, you could always try finding a Sea of Thieves oriented Xbox Club or using the Looking for Group function on Xbox or in the Xbox App!

The tides turn however when you sail into other players. The interaction with other players (good and bad) will cause this game to sink or swim for most players. I would recommend if you have a constant crew to sail with. Otherwise your experience may go down with the ship.

The combat is enjoyable and there are puzzles to solve. There are multiple expansion packs being released over time and all are free. This game is excellent.
