Only 4 stars because of the cost. Otherwise a perfectly functioning drive. It’s incredibly simple. Open package, insert into back of Xbox series X That’s it, done. No configurations or settings. Turn on your console, it auto recognizes it and adjusts your storage percentage. Of note, you get 930Gb usable space on your 1Tb purchase. A terabyte is actually 1024Gb, so I’m not sure where/why the other 94Gb is lost, but that’s 10% less storage than advertised. And at 229$, which is almost half the console price, a bit high in my opinion. However, it works seamlessly and simply, so I’d still recommend this upgrade as it will make your experience better once your system storage fills up, which doesn’t take long at all.

This thing comes in handy so much, but the downfall is that it is so expensive unlike the counterparts that require as usb cord and you could get 4TB for $150. If you tried to purchase a 4TB hard drive of the one I’m rating then that would be at least $400-$500

Super easy to install to the series X. Adds the speed like the internal SSD. It is very expensive.

This is definitely worth the buy and it is definitely faster than my PC's nvme Drive which runs at 3500mbs I'm not sure what the series X expansion drive or internal drive run at but it definitely moves faster. Compared to what these things used to cost when they first came out and the speed you're getting the price isn't that bad keep in mind stuff like this used to run about $5,000 when they first came on the market.

A necessary addition to your Xbox. Makes up for the huge storage size of games, and the minimal storage provided by devices. Allows you to play x/s games, unlike a traditional external drive.

Easy plug and play. No need to swap from the expansion card to the console like you do for external drives . Just wish they weren't so darn expensive. 3 kids/ 3consoles/ 3 expansion cards. Best buy did have the best price though

My boyfriend was so excited to receive this. It added a lot of storage to his console. Before buying this, he had to keep uninstalling games to make room for others. Now he can keep all of them in one place. Very easy to install and use.

I love this card, it makes gaming worth every penny if you want excellent performance. I had Division II on external drive and moved to this expansion and the frame rate increase made this game so much better. Yes, you could put on internal drive but it has limited space since most games are large and wanting that space for series x titles. Also playing multiple games and now able to use quick start is also huge plus.

All I will say is; it works great and if you can op for the 2TB I ate up that space in nothing flat. I wish they would have made it a 2TB and 4TB, of course a bit lower in price. :)

There's not a whole lot to say about this other than it's an absolute must have if you play a lot of games on your Series X|S. I got tired of having to decide which games to keep installed / uninstall when new games came out because the internal SSD in my Series X kept filling up so fast. It's literally plug and play. Is it overpriced? Yeah, I think it is. I was hoping there would be more competition or other options out there for the Series X|S by now, but there isn't, so it is what it is.

Recently bought a Xbox Series S and knew right away I would need more memory. Bought this expansion storage the same day. Plugs right inin and was recognized immediately. Load times are lightning quick. My only two wishes would be for a lower price point and then possibly having 2tb or larger cards available. As it is this 1tb card is only. $80 less than the Series S itself. Still a required item in my opinion.

Sleek product that is very simple to install. Runs quickly and does exactly what you want. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the cost seems over the top to me.

I was hesitant about buying this for my XBox S. I had the 4TB hard drive and after putting all those Call of Duty games on I filled the internal SSD up fast. Game Pass is cool and most games played off the external HHD. Wasn’t long and I had to break down and get this. It made the XBox S almost perfect now! It plays seamless with the internal SSD. Once it comes out in 2TB will it be awesome

Works great and it helps expand your library with all your series games but make sure to get a warranty as it can just randomly die and there’s not much you can do. Worked great for the 2 years I had it though.

This the perfect storage solution for the Xbox series X. Plug it into the back of your console and you instantly have extra solid state storage, which you need to run games because of it's faster loading time. It isn't cheap but it's the best solution.
