I believe it’s essential if you have Game Pass. You’re basically doubling the storage size. Not 5 stars because it’s a little pricey.

I’m planning on getting another though i do want to wait for a price drop. But if you are getting your first one get it dont wait you’ll be glad you did as its really awesome. It’s also amazing how much tech it is for how small it is. But it does feel like high quality.
