It just plugs right into a slot on the back, only sticks out about a quarter inch or so and it just works.

Great product but why so small?

My only issue with the product is that I do not believe that 1TB will be enough. At this point, due to the size of files necessary for the current games being released, I would have preferred a larger drive. They are being produced for PCs, why not for the Xbox Series X/S?

But it is solid state and is fast. Also, just plug it in and its ready. Easy to use and a must have. Went with 1TB to start. I would not go with less.

Double your storage!

New I wanted to double my storage when I got a Series X. Pretty expensive item but the SSD (solid state drive) is the way to go for speed in loading your games. Definitely recommend it.
