You can buy 2TB of NVME for far less for a PS5 and PC. I guess that's the cost of proprietary storage. On the side of proprietary storage though, it is super easy to install and move between consoles making it great for taking to a friend's house like the good ol days of memory cards.

An almost necessary upgrade.

Especially since some games wont play from an external hard drive. A bit on the pricy side but over all worth it in my opinion.
