Bought this for an old Gateway desktop computer that I love but the hard drive is about to go out. Had to buy a PATA to SATA adapter but did cost that much to add on. Easy install, bios picked it up, it was ready to roll. I transferred my old stuff to the new drive and now I'm back in business.

The drives I have purchased from BB have worked, no out of box failures. I'm guessing they get these in bulk shipments and don't get tossed around as when I would order one online and go through the delivery systems. There pricing is competitive with online realtors so no need to order and stock.

I needed a new hard drive for my security system DVR. This Seagate hard drive was a direct replacement which took only about 5 minutes to swap and my system is back up and running. I found name brand Interent prices in stock at the Best Buy website, drove to the store and picked it up. Turn key job.

I have always been fond of Seagate. Over the years I have used probably a dozen or so in my own computers and for customers. This drive seemed about twice as fast as the WD it was replacing, which had, you guessed it, died.

Could Have gotten the 1TB for a little more but server only supports 500GB. But it does the job.

Love this brand and it's easy to install. I will buy again

This is an internal disk drive. Unless it won't work out of the box there is little to say about it.

Purchase was a no brainer. Was an almost exact replacement. The original lasted over 5 years.

After downloading the cloning software (FREE) from Seagate's website followed the easy to understand instructions and let the cloning begin. The software even worked on the original drive that had some bad sectors. After the cloning everything was there and the computer works great.

I loved the new disk drive it made my computer seem brand new as it is nine years old. Installation was not a problem I purchased technical support from best buy. They returned my computer in no time. The disk drive configuration was simple all I had to do was follow the prompts

New hard drive and everything is working fine. Old one under warrenty so value applied.

I use this just for storage and a SSD for boot so speed is not as important but this works very nicely for storage, I have had no issues with this. Good price for an in store purchase. If I wanted to wait a few days I could have gotten a better deal online but it's just fine with me.

The Seagate - Barracuda 500GB Internal Hard Drive for Desktops was a breeze to install in a new desktop I built. Installed Linux Mint 13 and is trouble free. Runs beautiful.

This was by far the easiest swap of a HDD I've done in a while. The clone utility worked flawlessly. I was amazed that i not only cloned my other HDD, but also matched partitions and did it all in about 10 - 15 minutes. I'm thinking of getting another for my laptop.

Needed an upgrade for an older desktop and this did the trick for what I needed.

Needed to replace a dead hard drive. I've always used Seagate products and have never had any bad luck with them. Easy to install...be sure you mark all your wires, etc. when you remove your old hard drive. If you do that, this item is a piece of cake to install.

A good value budget hard drive, good value for money.
