Seagate makes a great hard drive for both laptops and desktops. These are pretty straight forward to swap out if you know what you're doing.

My hard drive was dying and I needed to clone and replace it. I checked a lot of drives but this was the perfect match for a great price.

A 500 Gb drive crashed in a system that was backed up using a disk image. This drive installed easily and the disk image was re-installed with no problems.

Its hard to complain about a brand new hard drive, they are dependable and a great value. To be a little different here I'll two things I really liked: 1) the packaging was really well made and undoubtedly helped assure that the drive makes it all the way to your awaiting tower without getting broken. 2) These drives are so standard its ridiculous and very awesome. We were able to sector copy this drive with no trouble, and it has all the mounting holes for pretty much any conceivable means of installation, which oddly enough we needed.

I would recommend you buy this. Work like a charm and silently witch is good because I hate loud computers.
