Didn't create root directory on Apple

Got my iMac working again

I have purchased several Seagate drives for clients--this 500GB model as well as others 250GB-1TB--and nearly every one has failed within 12-14 months. I buy these as a last resort, now, when I need something right then and nothing else is available.... coupled with the advice to backup. backup. backup.
