    Good hardware, however the Seagate software would not work. Worked for a few days then quit working. Unable to reinstall and make work even with the upgraded software. Removed and now running backups with Acronis.

    I was looking for some backup storage and this brand/model was recommended by GEEK Squad because it lays flat, so there's no chance of knocking it over, and they said Seagate was a trusted brand. So far I'm pretty happy with it. Nothing exciting to mention really. It does what it does.

    This hard drive was recommended on a cord cutting web site as being compatible with the dvr I was thinking about purchasing. This paired with the dvr I purchased and the indoor, amplified HD antenna was the perfect choice for us.
