The best external I've ever purchased. When using the USB 3.0 feature with a compatible USB port the data rates are exactly as advertised. Playing back 40gb+ blurays, playing games, running applications, uTorrent in the background downloading pporrn and whatever else at 180mbps with no thrashing all at the same time with no slow down. Been using drive for 6 months and is still working beautifully even with hard drive now 86% full. I think I will buy another. For the price this is a steal.

It seem nice in the box, but I needed something that does no require power. I returned the product.

I thought I would be able to plug this in and have easy on screen instructions.. Not the case

I bought this about 4 months ago, just opened the package, and heard something rattling around inside. I haven't plugged it in yet. I don't know if it will work yet or not, I don't have confidence to put my data on it. Take away, check your purchase immediately after purchase and return it if there is a defect.

talk to Seagate was old that it would back up pictures and document files i was told by them i would receive links to fix nerer got nothing so walked thru on phone complete loss of pictures unless you use social media sites and complete loss of all my files in the documents folder

It don't work at all. I followed the instructions. When I set it up to transfer file it didnt work. My computer end up shutting completely down

It shut my computer completely down, all I get when I turn computer on is a black screen. I would recommend this to no one.

I hate it!!!. I cant figure it out. No 1-800 number to call. called best buy will not help.

Transferred 2 TB onto it overnight, and the next morning it was not working.

I purchased this drive specifically to provide my Xbox One with an acceptable amount of storage space, so I will not be reviewing its PC or MAC capabilities, nor the Mobile Backup. However, for Xbox One, it's as simple as plug and play. Easy setup (requiring only connecting the provided USB and Power cord) and transfer speeds are decently fast for the price here. Owning 32 games for the Xbox One, this drive provides ample space for gaming for at least the next year or two. I highly recommend this drive to anyone looking to expand their hard drive capacity for Xbox One.

I bought this drive because of it's capabilities to move from Mac to PC. Works great. Now I can put files from both Mac and PC in one storage space.

I bought this as a backup for my MacBook Pro. It was easy to install and it works with Time Machine. I've been using it for 3 months with no issues.

Bought this drive to backup all my documents and pictures. with the USB 3.0, speed is much faster than my old 2.0 drive (that was at capacity, so needed another). Also the software for incremental backup is great!

This item works as good if not better than the other brands and I got it a lot cheaper than the others.

Bought this for backup of a Windows system. Seagate Dashboard makes the backup system very easy and runs like clockwork as scheduled.
