This drive is great for a desktop, not laptop.

Before installation I read the online copy of the manual and realized it was too bulky to use with a laptop. It also requires external power. Seagate Back up Slim is best choice for a laptop.

Good price

Had trouble that some USB 3.0 ports on my windows 10 machine could not see it. They could see other USB drives fine. Plugged this into USB 2.0 to get working. Did not attempt to diagnose further.

Worked good- dislike the UI

Ultimate failure
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I backed up all documents prior to a pending divorce then when I finally got a new computer to download them to, it wouldn’t let me, saying it had been too long, or I hadn’t purchased some backup “plan” or subscription with the product, which I didn’t feel I should have, since it was, in it’s description, a backup hard drive. Total waste of money. Paid for a Tarris instead

I can't use it

I read that PlayStation is working on this problem and hopefully one of their updates this year will allow this type of external hard drive to be compatible. **I did not purchase an external hard drive that was made to compatible with gaming systems because they could only store up to 2TB of data.
