||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially bought this to replace my 4 year old 750gb hard drive, which accumulated a lot of photo's and videos over those years. Bumping up to 2TB gave me the flexibility to transfer all that data over and allowed me to use the 750gb as a time machine for my Mac which is a 256gb configuration. So it's a win win. I was originally looking for the Red one but they all get the job done.

Does not work as a duel Mac/PC drive as Expected

I was presented with an option to all it to work with both PCs/and Macs. I selected this option and copied over a large number of images off of our PC hard drive. I was able to copy over jpegs as well from our Mac. When I tried to setup the photo library for the Mac to be stored on the hard drive is when I ran into the error that would not allow me to copy it over or set it up. I now need to copy everything off of this drive, reformat it and then set it up for only Mac use. I am sure it will meet my needs eventually, but was a pain and misleading.
