We were looking for ways to free up hard drive space on our Mac (movies, pics, backups, etc) and the reviews for this seemed to be great. I can now attest that this portable hard drive is perfect! It was very easy to transfer over the files and it being lightweight is definitely a plus! All in all, I'm very satisfied with my purchase :-)

This is small enough to be portable, and has excellent storage capacity for the size. it hooked up easily to my Mac. As with other hard drives, one has to wait to see how stable they are, but in the past I have had good luck with Seagate

The Seagate backup is just the right size, takes up very little desktop space and is more than sufficient to hold my data. Easy to setup.

While shooting video for an out of town project I realized that my XA-10's 128 GB SD cards were going to run out of space before the final shoot AND the client suddenly wanted all the raw files. Time for an extra back up drive. The Seagate addressed all my issues quickly and at a great price. Backed up my files and gave them to the client on the Slim drive. Way cheaper than giving away 4 super fast SD cards! Client reviewed the raw video and later even gave me back the drive.

I bought this drive because it is an extra 2 TB worth of storage in a relatively small form factor. Although flash memory and ssd rivals standard drives in both speed and size, I bought this drive due to the low price and good reviews. My only concern is that given it is a USB 3.0 drive I have not been achieving purported speed of 5 gigabits/s. I have clocked my drive around 130 Megabytes/s but this is max, the avg tends to be around 60 Megabytes/s which is closer to USB 2.0 max threshold. However, if you are looking for a lot of storage in a pocket sized drive this is a decent option.

Bought to save downloaded movies and play on my mac pro 2tb at a great price and super slim and travel friendly ....

My DVR was crashing and I didn't want to lose several things I had recorded. This was a great solution. Saved everything I wanted before replacing the DVR and now have amazing storage. Easy to access to watch programs and then continue to save or delete. Should have done this ages ago.

I was looking for a backup drive for my iMac and this Seagate really fit the need. I bought larger than I needed and partitioned the drive so that I could also use it as a backup drive on my windows 8 laptop. It performs perfectly on both computers and with USB3 is really fast. The size is nice and portable so it's not in the way when I'm not using it.

compact, sleek, holds lots of data. would definitely recommend.

Plug and play Not too much to do except unbox it, plug the power cable into an electrical outlet, connect the USB cable to your computer and you've got a hefty 2TB of storage. The only other thing I had to do was to format it for Macintosh. I use it for my overflow files - data that I need to offload my computers yet still remain accessible. It's fast and quiet. My only complaint is that it's a bit bulky.

I have been through computer crashes before and I now back up my data in several places. I wanted an external hard drive as one backup, but I did not want to have to tell it how or what to back up as I don't have the technological know how to do that. This product was almost the same price as the 1TB hard drive and all I had to do was plug it in via USB. The product did all the rest -- set up the driver, backed up everything. I was very pleased with its ease of use, size, and storage space. It appears to be doing a fantastic job! I would highly recommend the Seagate external hard drives.

After running out of space on my Xbox one, I decided to take a look at hard drives. Between this and western digital, the seagate won a large majority of the test in a comparison and this was cheaper the seagate xbox branded harddrive!

I bought this light and portable hard drive for my daughter. She is using at College and she is happy because it is very small, but can contain a lot of music, movie and her college works. Plus we saved money using a promotion.

I love this external hard drive. I bought this external drive to store my GoPro videos on it and to keep from filling up my hard drive storage. It is so small that I can keep it in my laptop bag and carry with me. Love it.

This Sea Gate External Hard drive is amazing. It holds so much data and i like how it can store stuff from your phone too. Easy to use. Great product. I recommend it :)
