So far so good. The price was great for the 2TB - it worked for what I needed it to (backing up work files). No issues.

Works well once you get rid of the useless software installed, using a Thuderbolt drive now for the faster speed with a Mac

I purchased this as a replacement drive for a older release of this model. The older release failed within a year. Seagate says they will replace under warranty, but apparently they are having issues shipping out the advance replacement. That aside, this updated model runs on USB 3.0, and it is FAST. Windows Server Backup works seamlessly. It is good value for the money, and I have deployed several other drives of the same model line, and they have been working great for over 3 years.

the external device works good with the wireless router i have. i would recommend this device to family and friends.

It's unbelievable how much smaller, thinner, and lighter these external drives are compared to the ones I originally purchased. This works great and I'm glad they have one for MacBooks. Very simple to use.. just plug and play really. My old was not compatible so I had to upgrade and get this one.

Slim design means greater protabilty. I like that it is light and packs a punch for memory for my work laptop.

WD hard drives are good however, they tend to crash quickly. Seagate hard drives work much better and last longer than WD. They are a more solid brand to use. Plus, they have 4TB portable where as WD only has up to 2TB portable.

Device was easy to use. This is my first external device. It was perfect just plugged it in and it did the rest.

Our old hard drive was failing and we got this one and it worked awesome. Lot's of space for what we need.

I am in video production. I have 10 seagate 3 to 5 tb hard drives for office use. I have purchase 7 of these hard drives for off site projects. This gets the footage in the field rather in taking a chance with the office hard drives. They seem to work very well in my operation.
