Bad Design that they still haven't fixed

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using various seagate external drives for about a decade to avoid bogging down my computer with all of my photos. No more. My first seagate drive was mostly okay. Not and better or worse than those from other companies. The past 2 that I've purchased have been terrible. As the first started dying on me (suddenly not being recognize by the computer, then files being missing or corrupted) and was nearly full, I purchased this one. I hadn't been happy with the cord on the previous one but decided to give this a chance. Big mistake. With both devices, the piece that inserts into the port of the drive is incredibly thin. It is easily bent so that the cord no longer sits correctly. If it is jostled at any time in any way, it ejects itself from the computer and then you have to start all over with whatever you were doing. I've had enough of fighting with it and am now searching for yet another external hard drive.
