Basic hard drive for pictures and personal files, you can download all your games on it if you want but an name SSD is recommended for faster start ups and smoother updates.

It’s a little early to review this item as I am using it, very nicely, in a security system. If it continues to work well in a year I’ll rate it a full five stars. So far it works extremely well in my Night Owl system. The price was at the right spot and the performance excels expectations so far.

You really can't beat the price to performance ratio of this drive. It gives you 2 TB of storage. It's a spinning drive, so it won't be as fast as a solid state drive, but it is fast enough for storage of files.

I wanted to find a decent capacity drive to store some files on my PC that I don't want to keep on my boot drive, but that I frequently need to access. SSDs above 1TB are still way too expensive, and this seems to be one of the better HDD choices with good read/write speeds at a very reasonable price.

Great HDD to store your data and media files. However, I would not recommend using HDD anymore for the latest game title. Old or non-demanding games can be stored here but newest ones should be using SSD.

This pairs well with the Xbox Series X, which has abysmal storage at 1 TB. Its not as good as the internal storage SSD, but its half the price and twice the storage.

I use it mainly for gaming and so far it works perfectly. Play warzone and most of the main titles and had no issues.

SATA is still an affordable storage option, Best Buy had this in stock which made my upgrade so much faster. Faster in the sense I had it in hand to use the same day.

My Revo system stopped recording. I replaced its hard drive, which was this exact one. Best Buy had and it was priced nicely. I’m not too tech but I got it done. Saved a huge chunk of change. Thanks Best Buy.

This is a great product for an incredible price!!!

The Seagate Compute drive has really fast access for a spinning disk drive. The 256MB of cache really shows on accessing smaller files and transfers. Getting this much storage for under $60.00 is a steal.

These are hands-down the best bare hard drive on the market. I've owned several other brands and the Seagate Barricuda is the ONLY one to have never failed. I will go out of my way to find and buy these drives.

Dependable hardrive for backups. Getting superfast speed which an unexpected boon for a mechanical drive. I'm really pleased with this purchase. Can't go wrong for the price.

Very easy replacement for the failed Seagate 1 TB hard drive original to my desktop computer. Once installed, it was easy to load Windows onto my computer from my Windows 10 disk. The hardest part was accessing two of the four mounting screws for the hard drive. I needed slightly longer fingers, but a small needle nose pliers worked just fine.
