Good secondary storage device for all games. Could be cheaper

Really loud. Much louder than my last seagate HDD I got many years ago. Was louder than my PC fans so had to return it.

HDD was used for one OS migration from an HDD from 2007. Less than 24 hours after initial use, HDD started to generate excessive noise and vibrations. Once noted HDD was failing, a second OS migration to another HDD was attempted and failed due to HDD completely failing. The return window closed before another drive could be purchased to replace it and the data stored on it. I've been a die-hard Seagate fan for 15 years until this happened.

Nothing better than having a hard drive backed by Quantum, Maxtor and rolled into a Seagate drive. Because Seagate absorbed the leading 2 hard disk manufacturers a while ago making their brand the best for the buck in my opinion.

I’d give it a 5 if it was actually set up out of the box. When I first plugged it into my pc it wouldn’t read it at all tried 3 different data cables and still nothing. Thought my data ports on my motherboard were bad but then I looked into it and I guess a lot of these come with either outdated software or are not set up correctly. Took me about 30 mins of doing research and finding my problem till I finally got it to read and only comes up as 1.8 TB

Great hard drive and even better support. The first one had an issue with the internals and vibrated itself to death within a couple days. Contacted SeaGate and a new unit was on the way in no time.

This item was returned, because it was not needed for the purpose of my computer. The computer was too old for this product

As a drive it is ok. I purchased just for a back up drive. Cannot tell you how it works as main C drive.

I bought this item as a DIY project to build a computer.

This is a slow SMR drive. Not suitable for system drive for Win 7, 10 or 11; seek times end up running 240 to 1000 ms! Que depths of 5-11 are not unusual. Slow, have to replace. Maybe can use as a backup drive with overnight run.

Came in good shape but couldn't fit in ps4. To wide for console

This disk is 7200RPM performance when reading, but CRAZY SLOW when writing. It doesn't tell you that in the specs, but it uses 'Shingle' design that makes doing lots of writing super-extra slow. Not usable for write-heavy work.

Big storage and promites that its fast but i used it for windows only and it is horrible. So i bought a ssd and switched it for windows and only use this for game storage but deff slower then rated

not reccomend, not working good, after 1 week stop working and not warranty. Start making a noise then stop working :(

Slowwww even for a hard drive in my opinion they shouldn’t be that slow today

Product broke after one use, called tech support and they said I had to pay $75 for repair (FYI I bought it 6 months prior). Horrible product, not buying from this company again.
