This is a very common hard drive used amongst gamers. I have seen it in countless builds and decided to buy it for my own computer. I have a 500gb M2 SSD for my OS and most used programs and this HDD for my games library and large files. It works great, and it fast as far as hard drives go. It had worked great so far, and games load pretty fast. Going with a hard drive like this is great for games because the only thing it impacts is the inital loading time. After that, the game runs just like normal without any difference in speed.

Large hard drive, runs really well, store all my games on this thing. Using a SSD for operating system and this for all other storage. Read write times are pretty fast

Nice drive that’s much faster than other HDDs and cheaper than most in it’s class. Bought this to replace and older failing 1tb drive. Nice improvement but nothing beats those Gen 4 m.2 drives.

Fast and reliable HDD. I have had it for a few months and it has been working perfectly. Its a great size for a home desktop, and a few of them make for fast and reasonable storage.

drive had to be formatted first. Then cloned over my old 1tb drive with no problems. Has been running fast and perfectly. It was on sale at a price that could not be ignored. Best Buy was the best buy.

Performs well used as secondary drive, easy straight forward install. You need to reformat in order to utilize/pc to recognize drive nothing hard at all.

Best of both worlds - Spinning Rust and SSD this drive is perfect for storage and even gaming. not super fast but fast enough to make this worth it

This thing was only 50 bucks and it provides quite a lot of storage so if you're looking for cheap storage, this is a good option

Pros: Standard SATA connections. Tons of Storage for the price! Reliable according to reviews. Cons: Decent speeds for a spinning disk Hard Drive but MANY TIMES slower than my SSD.

I was forced to load my OS on this before cloning it to my SSD, but even so my games and OS load up quite fast on it. It’s a great deal and easily installed.

This HDD would serve well for any disc drive, but as a backup drive you really can't go wrong with the Seagate- Barracuda. It's fast, responsive, and reliable. Priced right as well.

I use this as a backup drive for my SSD main drive. It's faster than my previous Seagate Barracuda which died after 5+ years of continuous use, and it's priced right.

I thought this hard drive failed after dual-booting Windows 10 & Ubuntu. It was running beautifully with Windows, as expected. Then I installed Linux but did something wrong partitioning. Trying to start over by reformatting everything led to more failures. I blamed the drive and returned it. It really looked like drive failure! Jeez. Samed thing then happened on an old drive that I grabbed as an alternative. Linux forums were of no help... Long story short, I just let a Linux system install on its own, overwriting everything, and voila, perfect. I still don't know what was wrong, but it most definitely was not the drive. Poor drive. I feel guilt as #@^*!

Needed extra space and was going to get another 1 TB drive, but the price of the 2 TB drive was close. With my reward points I got more extra space and a very good price. Performs as expected.
