    My old Baracuda 1 TB drive died after 8 years of 24X7X365 operation. I decided to upgrade to the 2TB version. It is quiet and fast. It gets warm but the PC fans keep it in the safe zone

    It's the perfect choice when starting to build your first computer. If you already have a hard drive with a good amount of storage, at least a terabyte, would recommend getting an internal ssd. But if you don't, then this is the perfect choice, especially when building your first.

    This technology is going to go away, so while it is around why not get the best. Seagate makes great drives and Best Buy had a great price -> a win-win!! I would recommend downloading a free disk utility to format the drive to your liking; the Windows tools are underwhelming.

    I put this as a storage drive for my gaming desktop. Installation was standard, I have days of gopro footage that needed to be backed up. Though it is a relatively slow drive, I have had no issues with placing a few games on it that didnt fit on my SSD. I will always buy segate drives for their reliability and affordability

    Works very well for storage in a computer, only drawback is that it is a hdd so it can be a little slow at times. Overall good for the cheap price though.
