Not great performance

Pc a lil too slow for my taste specially compared to my old 4tb hdd buy it at your own risk, perhaps I need a faster processor or more memory but the makers of the hdd dont mention that need

I would say its good but….

Plugged it up and pc wont boot. Nothing loose, and boots up fine when i remove it. Im sure the storage is great but in terms of a hard drive not including snandard screws kinda sucks honestly.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rsync'ed 2TB of data from WD 4TB (SMR) to the Seagate Barracuda 8TB (turns out it is also SMR). Took almost 9 hours. 3 hours longer than I anticipated. Did the same 2TB copy from one WD 4TB to a different WD 4TB drive, it took six hours. Since I already moved the data, I decided to keep the drives since the SMR penalty is paid during writes. And this server is for archiving, it is something I can live with. But if I had know before hand, I would have maybe considered the WD 6TB. For more information research CMR vs SMR vs PMR.

Solid HDD to update from my 2TB backup
