This hard drive is perfect and I’m so glad I upgraded to it

If you want something for gaming not a good choice it will bog down your read and write speed and load times are terrible. If you are looking for something for office work with nothing intensive this is what you want. I did not know too much about the differences at first and listened to the people at best buy and I can tell you they have no idea either.

So far so good, purchase and install date around (Oct. 2025). Will update as time goes if anything goes wrong.

I use this drive as an internal storage drive. it's much cheaper than SSD

Great hard drive by a great company. Got two of these due to a sale and have them inside a nicely cooled case. Paid less for the two of these on sale than I would have getting one with the same amount of space.

Originally selected this internal drive for my desktop computer. Geek Squad person suggested an SSD alternative, which I went with. He seemed to know his stuff

Great value if you're looking for a decently sized HDD. There are faster hard drives, and bigger ones, but if you get he's on sale like I did, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better value to Quality-value ratio.

Hard drive box is easy to open, came with nothing unnecessarily packed. This is a 5400rpm drive, so it is good for storage as a secondary drive. I am currently using it attached to my NAS to store CHIA farming plots, was able to store 78 plots. Moving files using a USB 3.0 hub was 88MB/S

Very quick and quiet. Bought for use as media backup device. No complaints here.

It's a relatively slow SMR (shingled magnetic recording) hard drive but at a large capacity. It works well enough for a data storage, but I would only advise using this as secondary storage and put any files that should be read frequently or quickly on an SSD.

My go-to drive for bigger storage needs. The read/write speeds are really quite good for a standard HDD at this price point. It's quiet. No platter noise at all. When I fill this one up with my work files, I'll buy another in a heartbeat.

It works great as replacement from Maxtor 500 gb 1/2 of a 1 tb hard drive a little slow for use with games but perfect for back up storage.

I was looking for more storage for my music and videos. This hd is selling for the same price as the 4gb that I bought a couple of years ago. It works well with my 1tb SSD Barracuda.

First rate gear. For years our company relied on Seagate drives, with perfect performance. Then we became vendors to Seagate and the appreciation grew stronger: great people, strong ethos, amazing science, and products that keep customers humming year on year.

Bought a pair of these to use in a home server in a RAID configuration. They were easy to install and the system recognized them and I was able to easily set up the mirrored configuration so I have some redundancy in my server. So far so good. Recommended.

Good cheap second drive for storing a lot of data for a price that's as low as others. But I like the option to use PayPal on the website ordering and it was delivered free. Pretty convenient and easy to use ordering process. Arrived in two days

Really not bad for the price. The speeds weren't mind blowingly fast but that's normal for a HDD. We were able to move 4TB of data over in about 2-4 hours.
