I made this purchase as a replacement but I shou have known better. No sooner did I get home to try it and it wasn't working. Returned it and purchased a WD (Western Digital). Needless to say no issues with that one.

Terrible product

I bought this external TB1 because I needed to clean my cell and my computer of important files and pictures, however, after a couple months the passport hard drive started acting up such as the blue light didn't show up, weird noise came from there and any computer recognized it. I contacted Seagate and they found it has malfunction device and in order to recovery I need to pay Starting $600 and they will send me another one with my files and pictures. It's too expensive for me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL

DOA

I can hear it spinning, but never shows up as a drive. It is recognized in device manager, but not disk management. Should be plug and play, instead it's DOA.

Runs very slow

Excellent product!

It's a little slower than advertised, probably because I'm working with a USB 2.0 instead of a 3.0. Because you just plug it in (no formatting or drivers to install), and you can just drag and drop folders and files, it's quite easy to use. Works just like a flash drive. Great price for a lot of space!

Great for the Price

It's lightweight and durable, but I have not given it 5 stars because it advertised "Data transfer rates up to 4.8 Gbps," however, I transferred 106 GB of data from my computer to this hard drive and got a maximum of 103 Mbps which is far from 4.8 Gbps, but still really fast!

Another Great Seagate Hard Drive

I bought this one since it now eliminates the need to have to plug it in. For a busy DJ, it is one less plug. I will be buying one or two more very soon. I have had this one for over a year and it works great.
