I needed one for my xbox one because I had very little storage. I was reluctant to purchase it because I've never had one. I finaly broke down and purchased it. Wish I had earlier. 10/10 would buy again. (Which I probably will for my ps4)

Very spacious little hard drive

I needed a USB 3 because I can transfer huge amount of data quickly. Although there are several USB 3 portable HDs I picked this one because of its price. I'm very pleased with my choose. Not only it's very fast, but it's also very light and very quiet. Furthermore it is very small and stays cool regardless how much you use it. It is made out of matte plastic that feels pretty well made, though I'd prefer aluminum for durability. The back of the drive has the USB 3.0 port and there's a small blue power/activity light on top of the drive. Also, there are small rubber feet on the bottom, to keep the drive from sliding around on your desk. The USB 3.0 cable is short, so it's best suited for use with laptops. It's compatible with both PC and MAC (OS X 10.4.8 and up). Also compatible with USB 2 (but with reduced transfer speed).

It was so handy and portable to use, I had to buy this product to use with my PC. I love being able to keep backups of everything in case of a system crash, and these HDs are also great for storing large file or applications...my laptops stay free of space hogging items and clutter thanks to Seagate,

Great started external hard drive

Its very small and compact which is great to have. I was a bit worried about using it on my Mac because the box says it is for PC but I looked online about how to reformat it and I was able to use it! A great way to store all my iphone pictures on it.

Seagate has a lot improved as the previous version was totally a letdown .. I still don't know how long this is going to last but for now I am very happy with my purchase. Q: QuestionDifference between expansion hard drive and back up hard driveWhat is the difference between an expansion hd and a back up hd? I found a back up hd but need to use it for manuals and other files I plan on getting but don't want to backup an entire computer will the back up work ok?

- A:Answer Just get the regular expansion hd and not the back up one. Trust me. I bought the back up one from an employee saying you can just store things on there, and he was wrong. It literally backs up things, hence the name.
