Not regret at all to buy Stargate external HD. Easy to install and use, excelent performance, very good price. 100% reccomendable!

It was easy to set-up and works great. The design is a little plain, but I was not interested in looks. It was easy to convert to be formatted for both Microsoft and Mac. Works on Macbook Pro.

I've used this Hard Drive pretty much anywhere you can think of. Servers, desktops, whether it be Linux or Windows, they all love it. Read/Write speeds are very nice as described by other reviews here. The original one I bought was dropped by accident. I issued an RMA and Seagate immediately sent me a new one which is working great. The hard drive is small and portable so it fits well in my backpack. I recommend this Drive, it's of great quality and has lasted me quite a bit consider how much data I dump and retrieve daily.

Bought this hard drive to connect to my DVR and retire my previous hard drive - a Seagate that has served well for years. Setup was easy- simply unpack, connect, and format. Tried it on my computer first to make sure it worked properly and it did! The hard drive has now been connected 24/7 for over a month without a hiccup.

I ordered this unit for my Mac when my last external hard drive broke (Western Digital MyBook 1TB External HD). The Seagate didn't have an external power source, but at this point I didn't care. Unit came quick, with all required components (USB Cable) and operates efficiently and quietly.

I've had excellent results so far. I've used this on a Windows 8.1 notebook, and then transferred it to a Magiea Linux desktop with no problems at all. The Linux machine immediately recognized and mounted it. Money well spent.

Great add-on to the Xbox One system. USB powered so there's no power adapter to lug around. It's quiet and doesn't seem to get warm either works without a problem ....Works great !

I've always used Seagate as my external hard drives. I've never had one fail on me. Also, it's worth checking Best Buy's prices online, and picking it up in store. Prices are really competitive with Amazon. Really good writing speed, I haven't had a USB 3.0 die on me.

I had an old seagate & needed more space. Purchased this one only to get home & have it not work. Since I had problems with my old one getting hung up in a backup I decided that once returned I would try a different drive.

Having 3 different purchases fail is not coincidence. I bought 3 different drives in 3 years and every single one of them died, mind you, I didn't drop them, didn't throw them against the wall. They just died. I didn't just lose trivial files, I lost treasured photos, videos, income tax records, and a million other extremely important files. Are you willing to risk your same files knowing this??? It's just as cheap to buy western digital or ANY other backup drive. Three drives speaks for itself...don't risk your treasures on GARBAGE!
