Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im writing this review and giving one star due to ot being defective and could not exchange as its out if stock. Seagate will send a new one when they receive the new one I bought and determine if its defective . I had to pay for the shipping and in the return it says they can send back a refurbisjed one . Not happy considering i paid for a new one and third party sellers are now selling for double the cost .

Overheats and turns off ps5

Dead out of the box

Reinstalled several times to make sure it was right but system would never recognize it. Returned it and got a Samsung and worked instantly

After research I found out may be the ssd controller issue. A PS5 update recently bricked a bunch of these already in service for years. Eh, have it a shot. Went with the Western Digital and it worked outta the box.
