    Bought this for my xbox and was told i would have to transfer games back and forth and not be able to play games off the external drive its self but i was able to play them directly from the external without transfering back and forth.

    I have an older Xbox One with a 500GB internal, this was easy enough to setup and transfer all of my games and other stuff onto to clear out internal hard drive space! one caveat is the green led bar pulses even with the console off ( which sometimes makes trying to fall asleep annoying )
