So I buy this HDD and take it home. I am using this as backup for Xbox games. I plug it it, and I format it so it will work properly for what I need it to do. I put some games on it, and everything is great. I eject it, and put it away. So I go to more stuff on it and it starts making this clicking noise. I know this noise. II call it the Seagate noise. The noise of a HDD dying. 1 day is all it took. 1 day. total trash.

I made the mistake in getting this external hard drive as I have an Xbox Series S. You cannot play newer games when they are on this hard drive. In order to play, you have to move the game from the hard drive to the internal. Thought I did something wrong and after the return deadline was up, finally realized the limitation of this hard drive. I also got this one to try and save some money because the other seagate expansion card is so expensive. Ended up buying that one any way because that is what I really needed smh. Hope this helps.

It’s saves like it should but you can not play Xbox series s games without transferring them back to the internal hard drive.

This isn’t additional storage to play games off for your Xbox. You would need a storage expansion card.

You can save your games but you have to constantly transfer games over back and forth

Randomly stopped working and erased all my data , support couldn’t do anything for me because I was “out of warranty” and says it rarely happens .. garbage.. go by a western digital instead.

This is a nice storage device but dont recommend for playing games from this storage because your using a usb 3.0 cable.

The led light is not turning green/on and It’s on but not recognizable on my xbox but when I plugged it into my laptop it recognized it(no light) it has never been dropped

Great product but a need more details about what games I could safe and play cause some of them can’t be started

Plenty of space if you have the last gen. Tried this out for a bit but did not like taking things off the system and putting them back on for the current gen games. Works fine with last gen games playing off of it. But for the long run and with no more games being made for last gen I ended up returning for the dedicated internal extended memory

A fine external storage device just not for the Series S or Series X. It cannot play the games optimized for the Series consoles.

Good Christmas idea, but it did not accomplish what we wanted to. You cannot play games that are saved on the external storage. We did not know this.
