Waste of money and energy.

Turns out, any game you put on it is not playable because the drives speed is too slow. Your literally paying a lot and getting nothing but a temp storage space for you to move your games back and forth from your console to the external. Absolutely a waste of money. As are most Microsoft items. Infectious trash nowadays.

waste of money

I am using this as backup for Xbox games. I plug it it, and I format it so it will work properly for what I need it to do. I put some games on it, and everything is great. I eject it, and put it away. So I go to more stuff on it and it starts making this clicking noise. I know this noise. II call it the Seagate noise. The noise of a HDD dying. 1 day is all it took. 1 day. total trash.

Do not get if you have Xbox series S/X

You cannot play newer games when they are on this hard drive. In order to play, you have to move the game from the hard drive to the internal. Thought I did something wrong and after the return deadline was up, finally realized the limitation of this hard drive. I also got this one to try and save some money because the other seagate expansion card is so expensive. Ended up buying that one any way because that is what I really needed smh. Hope this helps.

Not good for new Xbox!

It’s perfect but not reliable

Not for current gen (series S/X)

Tried this out for a bit but did not like taking things off the system and putting them back on for the current gen games. Works fine with last gen games playing off of it. But for the long run and with no more games being made for last gen I ended up returning for the dedicated internal extended memory
